I have mentioned it before, West Eurasians plot on a PCA essentially where they are geographically located, provided their ancestors have lived there for many centuries, if not thousands of years. Exceptions: Sardinian Islanders, highly drifted genetically; Basques, drifted; Saami, east Eurasian ancestry; Finns, east Eurasian ancestry; Russians, east Eurasian ancestry; Jews in general, recent historic Levantine ancestry; Tatars; Central Asian ancestry; Gypsies, Indian ancestry.... Cypriots plot near North Levantine populations like Syrians and Lebanese. West Asians plot where they are located except the Gypsies, and Jews.
Cypriots are part of the E.U and they consider Cypriots (Greek) to be Europeans. Most Europeans consider all of Turkey, not just Thrace, the Georgians, and Armenians part of Europe as well. There are official Europeans and ones taken to be European by governments and the european populations.
A genetic map of European ancestry closely mirrors the actual geopolitical one
