post your distances to Europeans in G25

cyprus is officially geographically europe . so it is by default european

you guys need to start seeing the nonsense going on . how are greeks and icelandincs both "in the yuropeen cluster both yuropeen" etc, when the distance between them is bigger than the distance between greek and myself ?

the portuguese reference is closer to cypriot than it is to many europeans like latvians russians etc

i dont know why people act as if europeans are all close to each other and when you cross the bosporus people are soooooo distant

And as many Greek islands as Crete, Rhodes... could perfectly be Turkish or even Libyan. If that were the case, they would no longer be European?

That is the point. The Portuguese are peripheral Europeans and therefore are closer to non-European cypriot than to other peripheral Europeans. You yourself are defending that Europeans are not a cluster, and therefore that peripheral Europeans are closer to other non-Europeans does not mean anything

autosomally they are at least half european if not more and it's also visible in their uniparentals + they plot next to south-east europeans meanwhile cypriots are simply levantine with a slight northern shift

Cypriots that I had met looked no different than other Greeks from Greece. They also spoke Greek and had the same culture.
They are not closer to Levantines as some people like to claim here even though geographically their island is closer to West Asia (Levant & Turkey).
