Yes, an Armenian anthro enthusiast on another forum actually once told me that no modern day population gets modeled as anything more than 30% actual proper CHG.
That 30% proper CHG would probably only appear in Svans and to a lesser extent Megrels

I wonder if the individual samples in the dataset are guaranteed to be purebred for their respective ethnicities or if it includes atypicals and outliers as well.

i am sceptical tbh

that georgians have 50-60 % CHG + rest mostly ANF and a little bit Iran N and a smidge Natufian makes more sense in my opinion

qpAdm seems to overestimate Iran N for pops

There's only 1 CHG sample so that could play a role in terms of what qpAdm prefers. If we had more CHG samples then the numbers may differ somewhat but even then I sincerely doubt any modern-day population would be modeled as 50-60% CHG.

CHG on these amateur calcs tends to absorb ANE-EEF-Steppe related ancestries and superficially elevate them. Like in Dodecad for instance.

Also, I recall Onyx did a run for a Georgian individual using the same N model and this individual scored 18% Kotias if I recall correctly.

These are two of the Kurds (43,49) from above and the Hamshen, but with EHG this time in place of Yamnaya_Samara. You can see the results correspond roughly to a 55%EHG, 40% CHG, 5% EEF split of the original Yamnaya_Samara score, re-enforcing the validity of the original run's percentages and putting another nail on the coffin of g25's relevance.

Kurd-43: 0.083 EHG + 0.364 Turkey_N + 0.499 Iran_N + 0.054 CHG.
Kurd-49: 0.129 EHG + 0.390 Turkey_N + 0.412 Iran_N + 0.069 CHG.
Hemsheni-59: 0.081 EHG + 0.373 Turkey_N + 0.374 Iran_N + 0.171 CHG.
Absolutely, Kurds being around 20% steppe, with some being a bit higher and Hamshen having sizeable portions of this ancestry is something G25 would never capture.

Even with more proper CHG samples, I don't think they'd be as relevant as Iran_N anyway.
