I want to say THANK YOU in a big way for the openings, expansion and depths of the 'classes' thus far... I have shifted in ways not anticipated! ~ Beth, USA (after just the first 3 weeks)
I just wanted to thank you for the quality of the Quantum Flight program. Each word you proounced last week was exactly what I needed in that moment to grow. I am impressed and felt so many energies before the group gathered, during the sessions and even now when I listen again to the meditations. Thank you for what you bring to this earth. ~Elodie, France
'The Way of the DragonHeart Program is a profoundly energetic and healing initiation into the Reality of who you are at your deepest level - a Dragon. Each weekly introduction and experience of new Dragons pushes you to ever deepening levels of your Being. From the Earth to the Pleiades, these introductions allow you to now have personal connections with the Dragons that create, inhabit and protect the Universe as we know it, including yourself. This is the greatest introduction of all - finding out who you are. Araya's healing sessions augment this introduction by shining the light of awareness of those places that limit our expansion and resting in our Dragon self. It will be scary and exhiliarating at the same time. You each have the potential to be so much greater than you think you are. This class is the doorway for you to explore that greatness for the rest of your life. If the opportunity to take this course arises, give it serious consideration. Cyrill-An, Philadelphia'

Please join our FB GROUP - FOR THE LOVE OF DRAGONS - We are gathering the dragon clans together again to share experiences, inspirations and artwork... all things dragon, to create a space to ask questions and support others who are just opening to the dragons' presence in their lives. I would love to have you there!

Testimonials :
  • Today I worked with the Water Dragons and again it was an intense experience. I used another procedure this time, by having a footspa for some time and invited the other dragons to join me in our work, playing the CD and singing the mantras. They were all there... Some hours later the Water Dragons and I started to work. Near the end my chest felt like being open [no front or back] and loving energy surging through my chest in and out. When I stopped singing the mantra and went deep into the energy the other Dragons were present too and my whole body from top til toe was one burst of energy. I felt so enormously blessed...
    —Alied, New Zealand
  • I am a Reiki healer and have been practicing the dragon mantras about a year by myself and have found it really powerful, more than any technique I have had used for my personal healing.
    —Marcos, Puerto Rico
  • The Dragon Within provides, for those who feel the Dragon connection, a very straightforward and safe recipe to work with these incredibly powerful Beings and thus work towards releasing ancient pieces of 'junk' memories that are in the way of our awakening. I have had guidance all along as to when I was ready to move to the next dragon and which was expecting me. I have experienced intense emotions being released and expanded awareness and glimpses into infinity that I certainly wasn't expecting. The mantras and mudras provided along with the visualizations connect you to the type of energy that will clear more and more of your being. It is certainly not for the faint of heart as I have had my fire test along the way but nobody said that riding the Dragon would be an easy training!
    —Mylene, England

HOWEVER...

Please be aware that this information is a helpful tool for the natural or human love path only (as are all current new age spritual teachings and practices); as such it can help open, clear, heal and guide into a state of more natural or human love, as was attained by the Buddha and many others over history. This can lead to the perfected human state that many are seeking, but does not make one immortal on the soul level and thus has a finite completion, although the state reached is one of much happiness and peace.
This path does not and CANNOT lead to at-onement with God, which is only possible on the Divine Love path. The Divine Love path, which heals to the deepest level within the Soul by aligning to the Divine Laws of Love and Truth and including Mother/Father God as the integral core, is the only path that allows the soul to become both in image AND in substance of God by opening to receive God's Divine Love, which transforms the soul and makes it immortal. This is the highest aspiration of the soul and brings the greatest happiness and peace, but each soul in harmony with Divine Law has Free Will to seek what it desires.
As the dragons have become extremely active and present with me as of late, I am starting to have a new understanding and awareness of their connection to Mother/Father God, the angelic realms and their part not only in the creation of the planet, but originally of this universe. This is how ancient they are. And in line with the information shared above about the natural love path and the Divine Love path, I find it holds true with the Dragon work as well. You can choose a certain level of connection with them and stay on a natural love path which will lead to great love and bliss, but when you bring their connection to God into the openings as well, and allow a true opening of your own heart and Soul to Mother/Father God as healing, openings and realignments occur for you, then you will receive the greatest gift that they have to offer humanity.

This book, 'The Dragon Within' with its companion CD gives us a taste and opening into the energies of the Dragons, and what each one can do for us, and how we can work with them to fully empower the Divine Feminine within. This is not material for those who wish to leave their bodies and go into another place: this is material for those who wish to be here now, and embody themselves on earth, embracing their shadows completely, and coming into their full Self empowerment. It is for those who wish to co-create Heaven on earth by bringing all aspects of themselves into wholeness; it is for those who wish to embody the divine feminine in all its power, wisdom, and love. ~ Padma Aon, The Power of Shakti, The Nine Eyes of Light, and Womb Wisdom

In the 70's, El Terreno was the place to be for jet setters and globetrotters. Back then, the area of Gomila was the true hot spot for Palma's nightlife.Gomila was(and is) the center of Europe.

In 1929 the poet, writer and historian Robert Graves moved to the sleepy and forgotten Mallorcan village of Deià. Having been badly wounded in the First World War, and wanting to put troubled marriage behind him, Graves was ready to say Good -Bye to All That – the title of his autobiography. It was the American writer Gertrude Stein who first enticed Graves to go to Mallorca. When he asked her what Deià was like, Stein replied: ‘if you can resist Paradise, go to Mallorca’ He settled there anyway and, except for a break during the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War, he remained in Mallorca until his death in 1985. Thinking of this story brings a wry smile to my face – I think I know what Gertrude Stein meant.
From the 50's up until the 90's Plaza Gomila(city of Palma)was the scene of the splendor of a carefree Europe that was having fun again. A place of worship visited by a multitude of artists, intellectuals and bohemians attracted by the modern cosmopolitan fun that was experienced in its nightclubs.

We're standing at the edge of a 26,000-year shift that is redefining what it means to be human. But this isn’t just astrology—this is the acceleration of consciousness itself. Fire and air energies are sweeping through, igniting rapid transformation and propelling us into a new era—one where intuition, cosmic wisdom, and technological leaps will completely reshape our world.

Many teachers, mystics, and visionaries agree: we are stepping into a galactic awakening—a moment in history where the old falls away, and new paradigms take root. From Atlantis to AI, from spiritual embodiment to interstellar expansion, this is our training ground for what comes next. Do we repeat the echoes of civilizations past or do we dig deep and prosper, the question that seems to be on most of these teachers' mind is:
Will we rise in alignment, or will we repeat the mistakes of the past?

But the 'key' is that this shift isn’t just happening ‘out there’—it’s happening WITHIN US. Individually and collectively, we are evolving. Our energy, our intuition, our very DNA is recalibrating to meet this new frequency. This is our time to rise.

Mythical/legendary actually means divine/sacred but now people since they are indoctrinated think that the mythical/legendary does not exist, which is the same as thinking that the divine/sacred does not exist. They think this way because of evil/judeo-christianity/Madrid, Spain.

You won’t believe what an underwater robot has uncovered!Researchers, allegedly leaking top-secret information about the lost city of Atlantis, have discovered intriguing evidence submerged off the coast of Lerot, Spain. Could this shatter the Big Bang Theory of our understanding of ancient civilizations? This groundbreaking exploration dives 2,500 meters beneath the ocean's surface to uncover what might be the remnants of Plato's legendary Atlantis. From strange underwater structures resembling roads and walls to theories linking Atlantis to Antarctica, the Mediterranean, and beyond, this video explores the evidence, myths, and mysteries surrounding one of the world’s greatest enigmas.

The residential area of Puntiró hills, Marratxí is one of the most sought-after places for living close to Palma.
Located only 10 minutes away by car from Palma city, it enjoys easy road access and two golf courses in the
close vicinity: “Golf Park Puntiró Mallorca” in the direct neighbourhood and “Golf Son Gual Mallorca” within
5 minutes by car.

Due to its elevated position, all plots and houses boast a spectacular view over the countryside, the sea and
the capital of the island.

The PISCES SEASON Portal Has Opened and Pisces season is the great reckoning of karma, The energy of Pisces does not merely cleanse—it dissolves, The nature of Pisces is fluid, ever-changing, and deeply connected to the universal current.

The most glorious ride in Mallorca(and the world in my opinion)from Santa Ponsa thru Magaluf/Palmanova/Portals Nous/Bendinat/Illetas/San Agustin/Cala Major/Porto Pi/Paseo Maritimo. The longest linear walkaway in Europe.

Cala Major (also known as Cala Mayor) and its neighbour Sant Agusti are holiday resort towns on the outskirts of Palma.

Back in its heyday, Cala Major was one of the first holiday resorts in Mallorca, these days it is mostly a residential suburb of Palma. Upon closer inspection, however, Cala Major still retains many appealing characteristics of a holiday destination.

Cala Major has experienced some changes in the past couple of years and is currently undergoing a bit of a revamp, climbing the rankings again to become a sought-after holiday destination. The 80's style apartments might not be appealing from the outside but they are being renovated to 1st class standards and offer impeccable sea views, which means the area is becoming quite a hot spot for property buyers on the island.

Cala Major was discovered earlier than most of Mallorca as a tourist destination but lost much of its popularity with visitors after the development of more up-to-date resorts like El Arenal, C’an Pastilla, Magalluf and Santa Ponsa. Cala Major slowly deteriorated, becoming more residential than a tourist attraction.

The local city council has recently invested a great deal in an attempt to restore the resort to its former glory, and it seems this is beginning to pay off.
Cala Major beach is the resort’s primary drawing card and attraction. It is a blue flag beach within a few kilometres of Palma de Mallorca. The beach is well sheltered due to outcrops of rocks on each side, which makes it different to many Mallorcan beaches. The stretch of white, fine-grained sand is divided into two by a small pier, which is an excellent sunbathing location.

The sea is immaculate, with its turquoise colour encouraging bathers. Bathing areas, where no boats may enter, are demarcated over the summer months. Sun loungers and parasols are available, while ramps facilitate access for wheelchairs, and public showers and toilet facilities are ample and well-positioned.

Son Muntaner Golf Course is more than just a place to play, it is an unparalleled experience in Mallorca. With an extraordinary design and greens that offer constant challenges, it is the only golf course in the Balearic Islands that belongs to the prestigious European Tour Destinations association. This distinction makes it a must-visit for any golfer visiting the island.

International Event: Mallorca Golf Open 2022 and Mallorca Ladies Golf Open 2023

In October 2022, Son Muntaner was selected as the venue for the Mallorca Golf Open, an international golf event that positioned Mallorca as a leading destination in the world of golf. Over 12,000 people enjoyed this competition, with exciting moments and an unforgettable finale.

On the other hand, the Mallorca Ladies Golf Open 2023 marked a milestone as the first professional event of the Ladies European Tour on the island. This tournament not only attracted golf and sports enthusiasts but also served as an excellent initiative to highlight Mallorca’s beauty and potential as a tourist destination.

Recognized Quality: Golden Flag Award

For the sixth consecutive year, Son Muntaner Golf has been awarded the Golden Flag by 59Club, consolidating its status as one of the best golf courses for service quality and player experience. This recognition reflects the attention to detail, from course maintenance to personalized attention for each golfer.

Pagan Mallorca...the original faith of the earth that has to do with nature and magic.Magical Mallorca is what the Magic Kingdom/Disney World is based on....

GlDoNzZXUAERRg5[1].jpg

Paguera is a beach resort in the municipality of Calvià, Mallorca, and has been dubbed ‘Little Germany’ by many, because of the popularity of the resort with German visitors, who also gather in the nearby town of Port d'Andratx.

Paguera is well located for hikers and bikers and is the starting point for the trail to the mountain village of es Capdella. This is an easy trail to walk but there is also plenty more to explore elsewhere for more ambitious hikers and climbers. There is also a main road which goes from Paguera to es Capdella - it is well worth taking time to travel this scenic route, as the natural beauty is outstanding. If you feel like a change from the mainstream atmosphere of Paguera there are several exclusive beach clubs and resorts nearby. While staying in Paguera, it’s worth exploring the neighbouring Camp de Mar, with its small and popular island café/restaurant reached by a wooden bridge. Camp de Mar is also home to the beautiful but challenging 18-hole Golf de Andratx.CAMP_2020_Hotelansicht-Entfernung-11-1[1].jpgTWE04424[1].jpgplaya-de-camp-de-mar-mallorca-yosoymallorca6[1].jpg

Puerto Andratx is one of Mallorca's wonders.

In the majestic Serra de Tramuntana, where the deep blue of the Mediterranean merges with the lush green of the mountains, lies Andratx, a town that has won many over.

Andratx has exclusive villas with panoramic sea views and access to golden sandy beaches which offer a privileged lifestyle that has attracted people from all over the world. It is no surprise many choose this enclave to build their dream home, seeking the privacy and comforts of this corner of Mallorca.

Beyond its natural beauty, Andratx is a town that retains its charm and tradition. Its cobbled streets, stone houses with colorful shutters and fishing port evoke an authentic and welcoming atmosphere.

Andratx is an ideal destination for nature and sports lovers. The Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, offers countless hiking and mountain biking trails, with spectacular scenery and panoramic views. Sea lovers can enjoy sailing, diving and fishing in the crystal-clear waters.

The gastronomy is another of its great attractions. The village restaurants offer a wide variety of Mallorcan cuisine, with fresh, seasonal products. Fish and seafood lovers can savour delicious recipes made with local products. It is no surprise that footballer Robert Lewandowski has chosen this corner of Mallorca to enjoy life with his family. Robert Lewandowski has been spending his summers in Mallorca for over a decade. Mallorca is not just a holiday destination for him, but a second home - a safe place to raise his family.csm_port_andratx_hafeneinfahrt_786904fe81[1].jpg

Magaluf & Palmanova, Mallorca.

705440038_227429208_1024x576[1].jpg

This new development in the southwest of Mallorca is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in 2025. It is located between Palmanova and Magaluf, within easy walking distance of the beaches of Son Matias and Magaluf. The project offers the perfect combination of modernity, quality and comfort. The apartments also have the most modern energy efficiency that meets today's requirements. The apartments will have a bright and friendly atmosphere thanks to their large windows.1bbaeecd-eb05-4975-ab8d-907586b9f57c[1].jpg

Palmanova is located in the southwest of the island. It is a very popular vacation resort, but also attractive for those who own a property here. Many hotels, bars, restaurants and cafés can be found here. The long, beautiful sandy beach is popular with young and old. The town is very lively in the summer and quieter in the winter. Palmanova is only a 15-minute drive from the capital Palma.

In a good location in Palma's Cala Mayor district, the new construction project Golden Eye is currently being built, which leaves nothing to be desired. The project comprises a total of 9 apartments, which are divided into 3 garden apartments with private pool, 3 lounge apartments with balcony and 3 duplex penthouses with private pool on the roof terrace. The location is ideal for those looking for a good infrastructure, proximity to Palma and a beach within walking distance.

San Augustin is known for its good infrastructure and connections to the city of Palma. The sandy beach of Cala Mayor and the sports harbour of Calanova, can be reached by a short walk. In addition to numerous small restaurants and cafes, you will find a lighted walking and cycling path to the center of Palma. Popular golf courses such as Bendinat or the Arabella courses around Son Vida are also within easy reach.

Santa Ponsa is at first glance little more than a typical family resort by the sea. Nevertheless, there is more to this beautiful village. Santa Ponça offers a varied wealth of natural treasures and historic buildings. Santa Ponsa is also home to some of Mallorca's most luxurious properties. The centre of Santa Ponsa offers a beautiful backdrop of mountains and forests, a wide sandy beach, a variety of restaurants, bars and much more. Furthermore Santa Ponsa offers beautiful golf courses and great golf resorts for golf lovers. You will find the following golf courses in Santa Ponsa and Nova Santa Ponsa: Golf I (public), Golf II and Golf III (private).

Es Capdellà is an idyllic mountain village in the southwest of Mallorca, with about 1000 inhabitants, which belongs to the municipality of Calvià. In addition to a breathtaking mountain backdrop, you can enjoy absolute tranquility and pure Mallorca feeling here! The charming village center with its small cafes and nice restaurants, you reach comfortably in few minutes. Also worth mentioning are the great Mallorcan hotel Castell Son Claret, the Bar Nou and Es Moli, two central meeting places in the village with Mallorcan cuisine, which also have a high attraction for tourists. The mountain routes from Capdella to Puigpunyent via Galilea and to Andratx and Paguera are also particularly scenic. Es Capdella is only a few kilometres from the coast, where long sandy beaches and beautiful coves invite you to swim. Here you will find a great variety of activities as well as a very good infrastructure. Palma can be reached in about 15 minutes, the airport in 20-25 minutes.

Nova Santa Ponsa is beautifully nestled between Port Adriano and Santa Ponsa. Santa Ponsa's own "local mountain", also called "Ensaimada", is one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods and locations on the island, due to its quiet location. Here, in recent years, many exclusive villas, proud mansions and elegant apartment complexes have been built along one of the most attractive coastal landscapes of the Mediterranean. In addition to the impressive cliffs with the incomparable view of the Malgrats Islands, the residential area of Nova Santa Ponsa with its three golf courses (Santa Ponsa Golf I, II and III) also offers a rich variety of activities for golfers. In combination with the sandy beaches (Port Adriano and Santa Ponsa) and the direct proximity to the small marina in Santa Ponsa and the marina of Port Adriano with its restaurants and boutiques, Nova Santa Ponsa offers a unique and Mediterranean lifestyle in Mallorca.

The liveliness of Puerto de Andratx is the seafront, which has some of the best restaurants in the southwest, where you can enjoy some of the best sea views. Puerto de Andratx is an old fishing village and the traditional fish market still lives on, being part of the daily shopping routine of the locals. Puerto de Andratx is very pleasant at night with vibrant vibes where bars like Tims and Mitj Mitj offer live music.

Cala Vinyes is a small village right on the beach in the southwest of the island. The nearest larger town, Palmanova, is around three kilometers away. In Cala Vinyes, relaxation and recreation are the top priorities. The three-fingered bay, which is close to Cala Vinyes, is famous, as is the bay of Calp Falco with its well-known beach club. Despite the quiet location, it is still a very central place. The capital Palma can be reached in 20 minutes.

These towns belong to the municipality of Calviá which is the most expensive in the country.21019d7e-066d-4ba0-b853-e6e7ab9b475c[1].jpg

Port Adriano/ El Toro is an up and coming but quiet urbanization in the southwest with the famous marina "Port Adriano", which is one of the most luxurious marinas for superyachts on the island. Designed by star architect Philippe Starck and opened in 2011, Port Adriano offers a luxury shopping area and numerous restaurants, including the renowned "East" gastronomy originating from Hamburg with the "Coast" or the "Sansibar", as well as many other highlights. To Palma and to the international school you drive approx. 15 minutes, the golf courses of Santa Ponsa and Nova Santa Ponsa are in direct neighbourhood. Shopping facilities, banks, doctors, restaurants and cafés are in the village. Several small sandy beaches are in the immediate vicinity.2866a068-f9c4-444f-bb06-74070e519561[2].jpg

Costa d'en Blanes is a gated residential area above the luxurious harbor of Puerto Portals. It is home to some of the best restaurants on the island. With a 10-minute drive to the island's capital and stunning views of the bay of Palma or Palmanova, this location is a highly desirable location for both residents and owners of vacation homes due to its proximity to schools, restaurants, supermarkets and beaches.

For many decades, Bendinat has been a place of residence for the wealthy residents of the cultural capital of Palma, which is only ten minutes away, and has thus developed over time into one of the most sought-after residential areas on Mallorca. The location is incomparable - even in the southwest of Mallorca: to the north, Bendinat borders the Royal Golf Course, while to the south the residential area boasts breathtaking views of some of the most beautiful bays and beaches on the island. In addition to the exclusive golf courses and numerous five-star hotels, the region also offers several international teaching institutes and various shopping opportunities. The neighboring town of Portals Nous is home to the Puerto Portals marina one of the best marinas in the mediterranean.1040x620xc[1].jpg

Located in the southwest, adjacent to the city of Palma, is the cozy little town of Genova. With its narrow streets, charming houses and numerous bars, it is a very idyllic place. Perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Culinary delights can be found in the restaurants Meson Can Pedro or Meson La Rueda, among others. Genova is located at the foot of the Na Burguesa mountain range. Hikers and cyclists have from here a good starting point to make tours. Despite the idyll and tranquility, Palma's Genova district is very centrally located. The nearest golf course is 10 minutes away by car and Palma airport is 20 minutes away.

Mallorca the cradle of the mediterranean lifestyle and the cradle of...........of..........of......everything.

As the closest village to the bustling city of Palma, Genova is unique in Mallorca. Within a few minutes’ drive from the busy streets, traffic and shops of the city you will find yourself perched upon mountain peaks looking down at the sea and the local pine forests which surround this picturesque location. Genova, with its narrow winding streets and traditional Mediterranean style villas will make you feel as if you are tucked away in a quiet corner of the island.

Santa Catalina or Little Sweden.

This vibrant area of Palma is buzzing with trendy restaurants, bars & shops

West of Palma's Avenida Argentina, Santa Catalina is one of the city’s most appealing areas – with the ambiance of a village combining old and contemporary characteristics and lifestyles. Named after a former hospital dedicated to Santa Catalina of Alexandria (patron saint of merchants and sailors), and close to the sea, it used to be the home of fishermen. Rope makers and flour millers also lived here and 18th-century windmills remain in Carrer/calle Industria and Es Jonquet.

Santa Catalina’s photogenic traditional old houses boast cheerfully painted façades, old wooden shutters, and small front balconies – many decorated with plants and flowers.

The beating heart of this area is its indoor market, supplying residents, yachts, and the numerous restaurants, cafés, and bars that make Santa Catalina a popular culinary meeting place. The modern Teatre Mar i Terra offers cultural entertainment.

Built in 1920, Mercat de Santa Catalina is Palma’s oldest food market and packed with stalls selling fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, and other gourmet products. Regular customers include discerning yacht and restaurant chefs, as well as local residents. Keen cooks will find vegetables on Frutas Ramón’s stall that are usually difficult to source on Mallorca. Refresh yourself at a traditional market bar, or go Japanese at Arume Sake bar.
World on a plate
For high-level Japanese gastronomy served in a contemporary setting and buzzing atmosphere, you must visit Izakaya.

Just opposite the Santa Catalina Market, Mola offers fresh Mediterranean-Asian cuisine with hints of flavours from far-off lands such as Peru, Hawaii, and Morocco. Il Tano is a must for Italian food lovers. It has an authentic and family friendly atmosphere that stays true to the Italian spirit.

Nola offers you a journey that takes you through New Orleans and travels through parts of Asia and the Mediterranean.

Urban and playful gastronomy at Nola restaurant in Santa Catalina.

At Nola, the 'dirty fingers' sign at the entrance sets the tone: the goal is to have fun. Eat, drink, and enjoy this daring urban food experience in Palma!

Fuck yeah it is returning.

You were never broken—only told that you were. From the moment you took your first breath, the world handed you a lie: that you were flawed, that something in you was wrong, that you were “born in sin.” But think—who would you be if no one had ever told you that? Before guilt was stitched into your soul, before fear was weaponized against you, before you were convinced that you needed saving—you were whole. Not just whole, but infinite. Radiant. Pure. They called it “original sin,” but really it was the original deception—a story designed to keep you small, to make you forget the truth so you would seek their version of redemption. But here’s the truth: there is nothing to redeem. There is nothing to fix. There is nothing missing. You were never separate from God. You were never lost. The only thing you ever needed saving from… was the belief that you need to be saved.

And yet, unlearning this conditioning isn’t always easy. Years—sometimes lifetimes—of being told you are unworthy don’t just dissolve overnight. But there is a way to undo the illusion, to peel back the layers of programming, to finally see yourself as you truly are: whole, free, limitless. When you begin to recognize this—not just intellectually, but deeply, in your very being—everything changes. The weight lifts. The searching ends. Life stops feeling like something you need to escape or fix, and instead, you remember—you were never a problem to be solved unnamed (8).png

Stretched out on a beachfront Bali bed, bottle of bubbly cooling in the ice bucket, iridescent seascape spread out before you – nothing epitomises laid-back Balearic glitz quite like a day at a beach club. But not all Mallorca beach clubs are created equal. While some are pitched at the yacht-set glitterati looking to lunch on lobster thermidor, others cater to the up-for-it party crowd seeking some daytime shape-throwing to Balearic beats. Whatever experience you’re looking for, you can be sure to find it among these beach clubs on Mallorca.

Costa de la calma, Mallorca.

378080055_885966689909165_304146214442434446_n (3).jpg

Gran Folies Beach Club

Set on the edge of the water in the uber-luxe enclave of Cala Llamp,Andratx it’s no surprise Gran Folies is among the swankiest of beach clubs on Mallorca. It’s also one of the island’s longest-running, attracting a well-heeled crowd since first opening in the seventies. An outstanding menu of Mediterranean fare marks it out as one of the best for dining, while its snazzy seafront pool is the perfect spot to soak up the soaringly spectacular surroundings.
IMG_6315-2-1020x600[1] (1).jpg

Puro Illetas

While there are two Puro beach clubs in Mallorca, most agree the one overlooking the beautifully bijou Illetas is the better of the pair. The Puro Group’s signature white-on-cream aesthetics set the tone to island chic, but without the background throb of Balearic beat to disturb the serenity. There’s no swimming pool either, but guests have direct access to a small, scenic bay to cool off in. A decent menu mixes Miami, Marrakech and Melbourne influences, plus pampering comes in the form of sea-view massages.

Mhares Sea Club

The lofty stretch of cliff that skirts the east side of Palma Bay offers some truly spectacular views, of which Mhares Sea Club takes full advantage. In keeping with its relatively secluded setting, the vibe is understated and unpretentious, attracting a friendly mix of locals and visitors. Loungers and daybeds lined a big L-shaped pool, with premium cliff-edge real estate pointing out to sea and some of the best sunsets you’ll see on Mallorca

Shiva Beach Club

Head a little south along this rocky coast from Mhares Sea Club and you soon come to Shiva Beach Club. While sharing those breathtaking clifftop panoramas, the mood here is more blingy beach club and, unlike many, the little ones are welcome. A huge swimming pool features big floating pillows, plus there’s a sandy artificial beach where you can flop on bean bags and watch the sun dip over the fiery horizon.

UM Beach House Portals

With its bamboo seating, chunky wood tables and eye-pleasing weave decor, UM Beach House Portals is the boho-chicest of the bunch. An emphasis on live DJ sessions spinning funky beats gives the place a hip, pool-party vibe with regular events featuring fire and dance performances. Choose between flopping on double daybeds or super-comfy loungers under parasols or dappled shade from pine and palm trees. And if you fancy a salty dip, steps lead down to a small pebbly beach.View attachment 18010

Egos Beach Club

Mallorca’s newest beach club, Ego opened for the summer 2024 season and immediately turned heads with its super-swish design and superb infinity pool. It's set in the resort of Cala D’Or with a fabulous line of sight over scenic Caló D'es Pou beach a short stroll away. Menu highlights include fresh oysters, grilled scallops and Tataki beef and, with lounger and Bali bed hire including an allowance to spend on food and drink, it works out as one of the more budget-friendly beach clubs

Nikki Beach

Sat at the swisher end of Magaluf, Mallorca’s Nikki Beach outpost offers all the high-energy, party-on experience you expect from the global brand. A younger, up-for-it crowd are kept entertained with throbbing DJ sessions, live musical performances and poolside dancers. A colourful menu of gourmet favourites includes their signature ‘Sexy Salad’ and ‘Sushi Boat’ for up to eight diners. Beware, there’s an eye-watering mark-up on drinks and an impressive selection of champagne b72666_72f920ccd1aa41ac93417c6048431431~mv2[2].jpg

Numa Beach Club

One of the only real beach clubs on Mallorca’s northern coast, Numa boasts a prime position overlooking the idyllic Playa de Muro. An artful combination of rustic-luxe, pop-up exhibitions and smooth minimalism gives this venue an elevated aesthetic worthy of its setting. Stretch out on a Bali bed just steps from the sand and order from their top-notch Med-Asian fusion menu. Saturday summer parties also kick off at noon, with international DJs and themed performances.RESTAURANTE-NUMA-102-copy-1[1].jpg

AQUA Beach Club

Trumpeted as the first beach club hotel in Mallorca, AQUA offers both non-guests and guests prime waterfront loungers with sweeping views over Sant Elm’s scenic bay. You can expect all the usual beach club shenanigans, such as low-key live music and DJ sessions, plus if you hang around until dusk you’re treated to a fabulous sunset over Dragonera Island hunkering opposite.

Minute 3:45 itd be so easy to turn that area into a beach bringing in sand there and it wouldnt have to be a big amount of sand because the beach wouldnt be very long and youd create such a nice beach near Palma city.Make it happen...

Late Palaeolithic (to 8,000 BC)
• Homo sapiens sapiens - current type of man
• Art (decoration of caves, bones and stones)
• Evolution towards the Basque Type begins
• Homo sapiens sapiens soon divides into the racial groups which now inhabit the earth (white, yellow, black). Each group becomes the origin of the races which we now distinguish. One of them, Cro-Magnon man, evolved indigenously into the Basque group.
• Cave of Urtiaga (Deba, very telling name)- final magdalen level (end of the late Palaeolithic age) Cro-Magnon type cranium beginning to evolve into the Basque cranium. Azilian level (beginning of Mesolithic age) ;intermediary crania, between Cro-Magnon and Basque. The crania of the Eneolithic age are clearly Basque.

Proud host to a number of prestigious sailing regattas including Puerto Portals European Championship, Impala Masters, Rolex TP52 World Championship and the Dragon Winter Series, national and international competitors get to enjoy the thrill of week-long racing in Portals. The Regatta Travesía APD in May takes racing all the way from Puerto Portals to Port de Marina Botafoch in Ibiza.

The Oris Classic Car Rally in March is a must for any auto enthusiast and owner. The day before, these cherished classics are on display port-side for all to admire, ahead of their 600km adventure up into the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range race track.
For food lovers and those looking for unique gifts, try the Farmer’s Market in May, the weekly Sunset Market in August and the highly regarded Christmas(stolen Saturnalia of Rome) Market, voted 5th best Christmas Market in Europe by German newspaper, ‘Die Welt’.

Experience Puerto Portals

Despite its small size, this sophisticated waterside destination is packed full of glamorous things to do. After breakfast at the ‘institution’ that is Wellies or a coffee at Café Cappucino whilst admiring the luxury sports cars parking up, perhaps a spot of shopping is in order. You will find many exciting purchases within its immaculate designer boutiques, from jewellery in Nicolas Joyeros to yachting supplies in chandlers DRK20, designer beachwear from Blue Marin, or something lovely for the home from Rendezvous Yacht & Home.

For some beach-side fun, head to the golden sands and crystalline waters at Oratori Beach, just next to the marina where you can enjoy lunch and a cooling cocktail at Roxy’s Beach Bar whilst watching the boats moor up in the bay.

As day turns to evening and the sun starts its descent, a stroll along the harbour wall, gazing out over the pristine yachts anchored is the perfect activity before heading to dinner in Ritzi, Flanigan or Baiben Restaurant where Michelin star chef Fernando P. Arellano serves international food.

This prestigious Port is packed full of amazing cuisine!
For the best of Italian and Mediterranean elegance, head to Ritzi. For more glitz, glamour, vibrancy and live music, Ritzi Lounge Bar has a lively Champagne bar which overlooks the marina and BOP offers the club experience, with DJ’s and captivating live performances throughout the year.

Naturally, Puerto Portals’ main employment is within the nautical industry. Major yachting companies such as Italian yacht builder Sanlorenzo have an agency here in the port. Exclusive distributors in Balearic Islands of these elegant bespoke built vessels, they employ an international team who speak nine languages between them.

Yacht chartering is a popular business here with companies such as Portals Charters also offering an on-board concierge service to super-yacht guests in addition, for that extra touch of luxuriousness. Baxter Marine are well established in Portals and have been offering yacht brokerage, moorings, charters, boat maintenance and guardianage since 1994. Princess Yachts are another large employer through their brokerage, berthing, yacht delivery and service department.

Outside of the yachting industry, there are many designer boutiques, restaurants and bars that employ all year round, thanks to the marina’s de-seasonalisation. Of course, if you work from home, you can work from anywhere and the real estate for sale in Puerto Portals offer very attractive home offices, perhaps on the balcony overlooking the marina below and the sea beyond. With its location, just 10-minute drive from Palma, Puerto Portals is an easy commute to the city and its airport.

Places like Puerto Portals have helped Mallorca evolve from the summer seaside destination it was known as, and develop into an elegant, luxurious and refined island, attracting the wealthier visitors and inhabitants.
It’s a decadent destination, a glamorous hive of all year round activity and a haven for all things beautiful. Sleek designs, contemporary architecture, high-end fashion brands and fine dining fill this modern Mallorcan marina, alongside every service and facility to cater for the real stars of the show, the sublime luxury vessels that adorn the port-side and attract the onlookers.
If you’re looking for an exclusive, sophisticated yet bold luxury lifestyle, living in Puerto Portals has it all.

Since it opened in 1986, Puerto Portals quickly became one the island’s hotspots, including billionaire businessmen.puerto-portals-6[1].jpgaerial-view-yacht-harbour-puerto-portals-island-illa-den-sales-portals-nous-calvi-mallorca-bal...jpg

Sandwiched between the Serra(mountain) de na Burguesa and the southwest coast, Portals Nous and its surrounds have evolved from almost nothing into one of the island’s most sought after locations to live. It dates from the 1930s, when buildings began to spring up around the main Carretera Andratx road, which still winds through the centre of town today. While its relatively recent origins means little in the way of traditional island charm, a tightly knit yet cosmopolitan community gives living in Portals Nous the inviting familiarity of a seaside village.

Late 20th-century brought not only a growth in high-end property in Portal Nous, but also the construction of Puerto Portals marina, which quickly became Mallorca’s most glamorous hotspot. Higher up in the Costa d’en Blanes neighbourhood, swish multi-million-euro villas now pepper the hills, while down at the waterfront, well-heeled yachters, the international jet-set and the odd familiar A-lister moor their gleaming vessels and soak up the port distinctively swanky vibe.

And between the two, the inhabitants of Portals Nous go about their daily lives, gathering in cafes, strolling between the various shops, and enjoying the laid-back and friendly atmosphere of what many of them fittingly still refer to as ‘The Village’.

Portals Nous marks the start of the 32-kilometer-long Paseo Calvià promenade(the longest linear pathway in Europe and the most glorious promenade in the world in my book) that runs much of the length of the Calvià municipality all the way to Santa Ponsa. It’s a well-designed pedestrian and cycle path very popular with local residents who want to stroll, bike or skate in parallel with the coast. Much of it is surrounded by lush greenery with regular rest stops, good lighting and the odd historical monument, as well as the occasional opportunity to veer off into hidden coves.

For those looking to stay closer to home, the area does have some lovely beaches too. The main stretch of sand is Playa d’Oratori – also known as Cala Portals Nous – with the ever-popular Roxy Beach Bar overlooking the far end. Also overlooking this side of the beach is a lovely little church and a spot in high demand for weddings. There are several other smaller coves either side of Puerto Portals, including Playa Punta Portals which backs on to Marineland theme park and aquarium. Further along the coast, the Sporting Club Portals specialises in tennis and padel, and doubles as one of the town’s popular social hubs.

If its traditional Mallorcan fare you’re after, Portals Nous isn’t really the place. However, the Astir Restaurant at Grand Hotel Portals Nous, does promise a vibrant menu based off ingredients from Mallorca. Their commitment to the 0Km philosophy means that you’ll enjoy food that travels very little to arrive onto your plate. Prawns from Sóller, chicken from Campos and apricots from Porreres are just a few examples of the type of Mallorcan produce you can expect.

Grand Hotel Portals Nous

Towering over the tiny Calita de Portals bay, this gleaming five-star hotel is certainly one of the area’s most exclusive. A collaboration with top Dutch designer Marcel Wanders has given much the interiors wonderfully flamboyant edge, including what must be the most originally decorated spa on the island. Playfully themed bedrooms, outstanding dining, and of course some wonderful sea views makes this one of the finest places to stay on Mallorca’s south coast.

Portals Hills Boutique Hotel

Bringing the Art Deco flair of Miami to the town’s northern slopes, this shimmering white-and-gold high-end hotel is all-out glamour. At just 31 rooms, it boutique proportions add a feeling of exclusivity, while its detached setting adds to the secluded vibe – as well as providing sweeping views over the area. An upscale beach club atmosphere also prevails during the day, while by night the light mellows to the mood of a seductive cocktail bar.

St Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort

Located just along the coast from Puerto Portals at Punta Negra, this expansive upmarket hotel offers luxury lodgings in a more traditional style. It is set in manicured gardens you can lose yourself in while on route to several outside pools or a small beach. The hotel also features one of Europe’s largest spas, while Michelin-starred dining completes the uncompromisingly five-star experience.

The neighbourhood’s peaceful, leafy vibe is lined with Mediterranean-style villas, many of which have lovely sea views. Those with higher budgets will find contemporary architecture just across the motorway in the exclusive area of Costa d’en Blanes. Many prospective buyers looking for a secure investment will find it in Portals Nous, particularly if they plan to rent out their property to tourists. Otherwise, for those looking for a family home, Portals Nous is the ideal location given its proximity to Palma and prestigious international schools.

Featuring one of the world’s top luxury yacht marinas with over 600 mooring berths, it is no surprise that much of the town’s business and employment is focused on the nautical industry.

The renowned Dutch designer Marcel Wandersis associated with the area thanks to his impressive design work at the five-star Grand Hotel Portals Nous. In researching for the project Marcel quickly fell in love with the location, and felt that it was important the hotel reflected the character of Portals Nous. Therefore, when you step into the hotel expect to see Mallorcan textiles and prints weaved into the design. Since 2017, his “multi-layered sensory experience” continues to attract influential people from all the over world to the little cove at Portals Nous.

Portals Nous can feel like a town of two worlds. At its heart is the village-like centre, with its friendly and cosmopolitan residents that make up a self-contained, down-to-earth community with all the local amenities to keep it ticking over happily. In the hills above, the wealthier elements have bought up grand luxury, sea-view villas – for some, to spy down on their yachts in the shimmering marina below. It is this port that has come to define this region’s glamorous, affluent side, where the super rich bring upmarket sophistication and a sprinkling of pizzazz in the form of gleaming vessels and the occasional international celebrity. And for the residents of Portals Nous, it’s a slice of glamour on their doorstep they can dip in and out of as they please.

Port Adriano in the southwest of Mallorca is one of those destinations whose reputation proceeds it. Even before having the opportunity to experience it first hand, chances are most will be familiar with its status as one of the top marinas in Europe, for its chic Philippe Starck designed wharf, and as the setting for some of the island’s most high-profile live performances.

With its sleek, buzzy marina packed with luxury yachts, fashion boutiques and upscale eateries, few places epitomise Mallorca’s glamorous seafaring side with quite as much panache as Port Adriano. Set in a glistening south-westerly bay encircled with pastel-pink cliffs, the outstanding natural beauty of its setting shines, too. By owning a property in Port Adriano you’ll find a cosmopolitan community of natives and foreigners, many of whom have been drawn to this seaside town for the nautical pass-times work opportunities, as much as the lively calendar of events and healthy outdoorsy lifestyle it affords.

But there’s more to this port than super-yachts and showbiz. Its immediate surrounds are home to an increasingly diverse community, the majority of whom inhabit the adjoining neighbourhood of El Toro. While this tidy grid of residential streets attract a healthy mix of mid-to-high income national and foreign families, on its cliff-top fringes have been constructed magnificently opulent villas to rival any on the island, featuring sweeping sea views over the marina and the neighbouring marine reserve.

While Mallorca certainly has its fair share of high-end marinas, Port Adriano more than holds its own as a world-class destination where the well-heeled can moor their luxury yachts. But there’s so much more to it, too, with a top-notch dining scene, lively events calendar, and a nice sandy beach – all largely untouched by mass tourism. All this has attracted an increasingly international community, comprising everyone from young working families to boat captains to multi-millionaire boat owners who now call it home.

Did you know that hidden inside the Caves of Drach(dragon) there’s a huge lake? It's over 115 meters long, and it's called Lake Martel. Prepare to be amazed! It's no surprise that these waters are considered to be one of the largest subterranean lakes in the world.

To get there you'll need to go directly to the town of Manacor, near Porto Cristo, one of the prettiest fishing villages in the west of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands.

The Caves of Drach are four stunning natural beauties called the Black Cave, the White Cave, the Cave of Luis Salvador, and the Cave of the French. They're all interconnected and are an extremely important part of the heritage of the area.

It was in 1896 that the French speleologist E. A. Martel ventured into the depths of the cave, observed how the rain slowly pooled in the hollows, seeping through walls, and creating small chambers full of magnificent stalactites and stalagmites.

As soon as you arrive and go into the Baños Diana, you'll notice how warm it is there. You won't be needing your overcoat, because the average temperature is around 18°C all year round. So just relax and enjoy.

Visits take around an hour, and include a live classical music concert. For ten minutes, a quartet of cellos, harpsichord and two violins will play something wonderful for you. These shows started in 1935.

You'll gradually discover that the caves are beautifully conserved and illuminated thanks to the Catalan engineer Carles Buïgas, known as the wizard of light. His play of light and shadow makes the caves hugely atmospheric as well as enhancing their beauty; ideal for celebrating a very special moment with a relaxing boat ride.
As the boat gently rocks, you'll discover the depths of the cave and its waters. Waters that are slightly salty, and that rise and fall depending on the wind and the moon. You’ll be able to get an idea of how deep it is by studying the colours as they change. Green means a depth of around three meters, blue some eight meters, and white just one.
And don't worry, during the whole of the trip you'll be able to take photos and film everything you see.

Your ticket will show the time of your visit, and how long you have to complete it. You can either make your reservation via the Internet or at the caves themselves, whichever you prefer. Places on each trip are limited, and only those holding a ticket will be able to go in.

Have a refreshing dip in the turquoise waters of cala Morlanda. Laze on the fine white sand of cala Mendia. And explore the greenway between Manacor and Artà, a beautiful 29 km trail where you can get closer to the wealth of fauna and flora in the area.

Old World / Tartaria airships.

Just like airplanes today…… They were everywhere……Big ones for intercontinental travel…. Small ones for local travel. No need for highways or airports. Take off and land anywhere. Operating on free atmospheric energy. Taken away from us with the Hindenburg execution / false flag. We(well not me I am a Tartarian) are glorified cavemen by comparison.

Gg5xQZiWgAAdimL[1].jpg

“LZ 129 Hindenburg built by the Zeppelin company flies over Manhattan on May 6, 1937. A few hours later, the ship burst into flames in an attempt to land at Lakehurst, New Jersey.”

It was a hit job on old world airships.

Removing them from public view.

GaWXJGlWsAABQMS[1].jpg

The Hindenburg. 803 feet long. 135 feet diameter. Advanced Old World technology pretending to be a lighter than air balloon. Executed in front of the whole world with lots of flair and drama. “Oh the humanity” The hit job took the airships out of view publicly. Looks a lot like a cigar shaped UFO we hear about today.

Sa Marina de Llucmajor

Located in the region of the Migjorn, to the south of the island, Llucmajor is the most extensive municipality of Mallorca with 327 km2.Fine sand beaches and wonderful coves merge along its 47 kilometers of steep coastline, ideal for sailing, fishing or diving. Or just to enjoy the calm and tranquility that this wonderful place offers.

Historically, Llucmajor, Mallorca was one of the first areas where Romans(Basques)planted vines, and later gained an outstanding reputation for the wines produced.
Along the Coast of Llucmajor you can enjoy the wonderful viewpoints in Son Verí Nou, Maioris, Sa Torre, Badia Blava, Badia Gran and at the end of the road of Cap Blanc, the lighthouse of the same name, beach of Cala Pi and the defense towers of Cala Pi, Cap Blanc, Cap Enderrocat and S’Estalella.

Ideal for cycling and hiking, with routes that run along the coast and inland.

On the road to Cap Lighthouse, we pass by the Refugi de S’Aguila, with spectaculars views of the Cliff and once past it we arrive at the beach of Cala Pi, awarded with the flag of Ecoplayas in a cliff area of crystalline waters. We return to Cap Blanc and continue towards the Talayotic village of Capocorb vell, one of the best preserved in the Mediterranean.Once past the village, we arrive at S’Estanyol, with its Nautical Club and its fishermen’s houses lined up along the coast.1[1].jpg

Green hysland aims to deploy a fully-functioning Hydrogen (H2) ecosystem in Llucmajor, turning Mallorca into Europe's first H2 hub.

Some 260 million euros of investment is being made in photovoltaic installations (solar panels to you and me) in the Balearics. Of the 55 projects, 46 of these solar parks will be in Mallorca. For example, Enel Green Power has completed its Sa Caseta plant in Llucmajor and their second plant Nou Biniatria is being constructed outside Alcudia.1f0e3dad99908345f7439f8ffabdffc4_anchorsize_4096x630[1].PNG

The Via Verde is a cycling and hiking trail about 30km long. It leads from Manacor via Sant Llorenç, Son Carrió and Son Servera to Artà and was opened in 2014.

The Via Verde is the former railroad line between Manacor and Arta. From 1921 until the seventies, train traffic ran here until its closure in 1977, after which the line visibly deteriorated, several plans to reopen failed.

Then, finally, the transformation into a cycling and hiking trail took place.

More than 13,000 shrubs and about 4,500 trees were planted along the route, including mulberry trees, pines and holm oaks, which are under special protection.

You will find information boards along the Via Verde with interesting information about the flora and fauna and about the places along the route.

There are also several rest and picnic areas, equipped with tables, benches, trash cans and bike racks.

The Via Verde runs along the route actually intended for the railroad, the so-called Levante, in the east of Mallorca from Manacor to Artà and offers its visitors changing landscapes.

The Via Verde is especially popular with hikers, cyclists, joggers and horseback riders.

Interesting sights along the Via Verde are the early basilica Son Peretó in Manacor, the mountain Puig de Na Penyal near Son Severa, the Talaiotic settlement Ses Paisses near Artà and the Mallorca Almond Blossom Routes.

On possible side trips to the worth seeing places Sant Llorenç, Son Carrio and Son Servera the way leads past restored old station buildings. In the station of Artà, local handicrafts are offered for sale.

By the way, you don’t need walking shoes because of the even ground, comfortable flat shoes are enough.

Please note that dogs are to be kept on a leash and horses are to be ridden only at walking pace.0[1].jpg

Mallorca is set to witness a significant rise in luxury hotels throughout the new year. Leading the charge is the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, a high-profile project on the Costa d'en Blanes near Puerto Portals, close to the renowned Mardavall Hotel. The new development will feature 131 guest accommodations, including 44 suites and nine waterfront bungalows. The spacious rooms are designed to offer full or partial sea views, with outdoor terraces or balconies, some of which will boast private panoramic whirlpools.

The hotel aims to attract both locals and visitors with a wide range of dining options, showcasing a blend of local and international cuisines. Guests can also enjoy a state-of-the-art spa offering the Mandarin Oriental group’s signature wellness therapies and beauty treatments. Special emphasis will be placed on relaxation programmes inspired by Mallorca’s natural surroundings. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is owned by Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited the Hong Kong-based, Bermuda-domiciled British multinational conglomerate.

Another addition to the island’s luxury portfolio is the Vignette Collection Mallorca - Finca Banyols, set to open in Alaro next year. Operated by IHG Hotels & Resorts, this boutique property will have 45 rooms, marking the chain’s second venture on Mallorca after the Kimpton Hotel in Santa Ponsa, which opened two years ago.

Meanwhile, the Iberostar Selection Es Trenc is preparing for its grand opening in April. This five-star property is being developed through the complete transformation of the former THB Sur Mallorca. Like Iberostar, the THB chain is rooted in Mallorca. The new Iberostar hotel will feature terraces and sea views for all rooms, themed suites on the top floor, two swimming pools, two restaurants, and three bars.

The luxury trend continues with the Aethos Mallorca, scheduled to open on June 15th. Located at Palmira Beach in Peguera, this 61-room hotel is a project by the Swiss investment fund Aethos, marking its first foray into the Mallorca market. Plans for the property include a rooftop bar and an infinity pool, promising a unique coastal experience.

Another notable addition is the Purobeach Resort Santa Ponça - Oasis del Mar, a four-star beachfront hotel set to open in the coming year. The Puro group, which already operates four hotels on Mallorca, will introduce this new property featuring 166 rooms.

But make no mistake the Tartarians are the good guys but history was inverted by the impostors the ones you now think are the good guys but are the bad guys(judeo christianity/madrid,spain)

Your hidden ancestors.

Plaza Gomila, a small urban square in Palma on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, was the epicenter of the city’s glamorous nightlife in the 1970s, but fell into urban decline in the 1990s. At the heart of El Terreno, a neighbourhood rising uphill from Palma’s harbour below a majestic castle, Plaza Gomila was created in the 19th century, when urbanites started building summer retreats outside the city’s medieval defensive wall, and its bars and cafés soon converted it into a hang‑out for artists (the Barcelonese painter Santiago Rusiñol summered here). In 1923, Tito’s dance hall opened on Plaza Gomila, an extravagant venue with an open‑air dancefloor which became a hotspot in the 1960s and ’70s for people such as Grace Kelly and Sean Connery (a neighbouring nightclub, Discoteca Sgt Pepper’s, was famously inaugurated in 1968 with a performance by Jimi Hendrix)

The heyday of Plaza Gomila’s cultural life was also when mass tourism and real‑estate speculation led to high‑rise development. Hulking harbourfront hotel and apartment complexes appeared nearby with their backs turned to the older urban fabric inland. By the 1990s, El Terreno was in decline, and today, the area’s economy is visibly struggling, with cheap massage parlours and dive bars dotted among empty shopfronts.

Project Gomila, a public‑private partnership between the municipality, global footwear brand Camper (which hails from Mallorca) and Dutch architects MVRDV with local firm GRAS Reynés Arquitectos, aims to revitalise this once notorious bohemian enclave. Seven buildings – six of which are now completed – on and around Plaza Gomila comprise the first phase of this revitalisation project. Four of them involve refurbishment, while three are new infill constructions: an example of micro‑urban development, renovating the degraded urban fabric using an acupunctural approach of infill and restoration – even though the site is not a declared ‘heritage district’ of listed historical buildings.Project-Gomila-Palma-Mallorca-Gras-Reynes-MVRDV-Architects-Architectural-Review-Camper-Centro-...jpg

Project Gomila is not Camper’s first real‑estate venture. It has so far built two boutique hotels to promote its ‘eco‑lifestyle’: the first in a historical vernacular building refurbished in 2005 in Barcelona’s bohemian El Raval neighbourhood; the other is a contemporary building completed in 2009 in Berlin Mitte. While Camper’s credo is somewhat scaled up with Project Gomila, thankfully it is not being upscaled. Seen in the current global context of corporate branding through ostentatiously luxurious works of starchitecture, these buildings seem rather pedestrian. Though its authors include Superdutch starchitects MVRDV, Project Gomila is a collection of ordinary buildings and not landmarks. There is no iconic attraction planned, no Guggenheim Museum or Prada Foundation. The project contains housing, offices, residents’ amenities and commercial establishments that are more akin to sensible footwear – comfortable, durable, healthy and stylish – than a pair of Manolo Blahniks. If this signifies a dissociation of cutting‑edge architecture from conspicuous consumption, and a turn towards more affordable and sustainable housing and urbanity, then it is certainly a turn for the better.

However, it is undeniable that Camper also intends to build its brand with this piece of walkable city fabric, which is not out of step for a manufacturer that publishes a magazine titled The Walking Society. A drawing of Las Fabri‑Casas cites the blue sole of a model of Camper trainers as the formal source of the serrated roof of the houses. Does form follow footwear? There are elements of the project that certainly resemble a marketing ploy.
