Puerto Pollensa/Puerto d’Alcudia.

The most dedicated cyclists will want to head to Puerto Pollensa or Puerto d’Alcudia, located at the island’s northernmost tip on the same bay. They offer some of the best cycling routes in Mallorca in terms of challenge and excitement, and professionals flock there every year to train for international competitions.

The imposing Tramuntana mountain range dominates this region. It became a UNESCO-listed world heritage site back in 2011 due to its impressive network of waterworks and agricultural terraces and its diverse geology and wildlife. Staying at one of the two ports near the mountains slightly limits how much of the island you can take in on your trip, but it also gives you the option of flat coastal cycling or thrilling hill climbs. Pollensa is usually the most popular destination for biking pros, and many training camps are located there. Alcudia is a bit more touristy, but it’s also very picturesque and charming, with city walls and other stone architecture that dates back to the 13th century.

Cap de Formentor
The Cap de Formentor ride is perhaps the most famous (and one of the trickiest) cycle trails on the island. Starting from the port at Pollensa, you’ll immediately begin climbing up to the El Mirador de Sa Creueta viewpoint, 223 metres above sea level. With some hairpin turns and steep gradients of up to 7%, this is a challenging ascent, but the breathtaking views over the bay make it worth the effort. Next, you’ll race back down the hill towards Formentor beach before heading back up through pine forests and rugged, rocky terrain.

Andratx
Another exciting two-wheeled journey is the epic cycle route from Puerto Alcudia to Andratx, at the island’s western edge. Tracing roads up and down the craggy cliffside, it offers some spectacular sights. You’ll also take in densely-forested areas and fields and the charm of some quaint coastal villages dotting the landscape on the other side of the valley. These small settlements are great places to stop off and refuel, which will be necessary at some point on this extensive 81-mile route.

  • Cap de Formentor is the island’s most unmissable route.

The “must” of mountain biking in Mallorca: it is a lifestyle

The “must” of mountain biking in Mallorca: it is a lifestyle

One of the most practiced sports in the Balearic Islands, specifically in Mallorca, is mountain biking, which was born as an alternative to road cycling. The island, because of its orography and its climatology, could be considered the ideal environment for the practice of mountain biking. The mountain biking in Mallorca has broken down borders and goes beyond being a mere sport modality: it is a lifestyle in which physical activity and fun come together. Thanks to this sport you get to know and explore new and recondite places. Are you ready to ride with us?

BRIEF HISTORY OF MOUNTAIN BIKING

The history of the MTB takes us back to the decade of the 50s, when a group of cyclists began to explore the descent of the mountains of California at the same time that the first changes in the bicycles for the practice of this sport began to appear. From then until now, countless variants have emerged: cross country, downhill, trip trial, freeride, 4X, trial, uphill, BMX …

BEST AREAS FOR MALLORCA TO RIDE ON MTB

It could be said that mountain biking in Mallorca is a synonym of the Sierra de Tramuntana, one of the best places in Spain to bike and enjoy nature at the same time. The best routes through this region cover Sóller, Bunyola, Fornalutx, Esporlas, the Monastery of Lluc and Pollensa.
To the south of the Tramuntana, the best tours will make you know towns such as Sant Jordi, Algaida or Llucmajor. On the other hand, the thours that pass through Calviá, Santa Ponsa, Andratx or Cap Andritxol will offer you with a refreshing bath at one of its many beaches. Even more to the south of the island, in the rural area of ??Son Negre, you can soak up the typical and traditional part of Mallorca on two wheels.
Looking at the other side of the island, in the east, the surroundings of the Sierra de Artá, in the Levante Natural Park, will leave you breath- and speechless.
In Mallorca there are routes for each type of cyclist: from crossings where you can visit rural centers or different beaches, to risky and dangerous descents. If you belong to this second type of biker, take a look at these activities for adventurous couples.

Any route that runs through the Bunyola region is also essential since it is one of the places of mountain bike pilgrimage in Mallorca.

WHERE TO RENT MTB BIKES

Each year, there are more and more bike renting spots in Mallorca. In the capital, we recommend Just Rent a Bike Mallorca , Berganti Bikes and Sports Mallorca .

Leaving the urban environment 2GoCyling Rent a Bike and RentMarch in Pollença, Bimont (with 4 branches throughout the island) and Cycling Planet in Alaró, a place created exclusively for cycling lovers, decorated with real wood of the velodrome of Mallorca.

It’s understandable why professionals and amateurs alike flock to the Spanish coasts to live or train given the affordable flights from other areas of Europe and the low cost of living once you get there. This article examines the ideal location to set up shop for some winter riding. It’s none other than Mallorca, our favorite place to go cycling in the winter. An excellent location to get over the winter doldrums and provide a welcoming cycling community with considerate and courteous drivers.

Mallorca, with its varied topography and favorable temperatures, is one of the most well-liked winter cycling destinations. To avoid the congested roads caused by cars and buses during the busiest summer months, we advise going in the winter. There can be wide variations in temperature, and it has been known to snow on the peaks. However, temperatures regularly rise to around 15 oC. That ought to be warm enough for the winter sunseekers, especially if leaving the home takes donning a hundred layers of gear where you reside in order to go for a two-hour winter ride.

The Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, which is home to the famous Sa Calobra, is the lovely island’s greatest training asset. Because of its bottomless dead end, it lacks the same notoriety as a grand tour col. But with an average gradient of 7% across 9.4 kilometers, it presents a test for any cyclist. If you’re planning a trip to Mallorca, the cycling island, make sure to carry your lightweight chainset. The quickest route to Mallorca provides for a training camp that is even shorter without adding significantly more time to the trip. Come to the sunny island and enjoy life to the fullest.

Mallorca is an ideal destination for cyclists. Whatever it is that you may need, we would be more than happy to assist you in any way we can, so if you are looking for a cycling vacation in Mallorca and want all the stress taken out of it, getting to see all the highlights, and also having excellent guides and support along the whole way, then look no further. Come and cycle further and faster and become a better cyclist in Mallorca. You can count on the helpful staff at Emilios Cycling Mallorca to help you get the most out of your time If you’re planning to visit Mallorca. Whether you’re traveling alone, with a partner, or with your family, you can get customized services and solutions to help you get the most out of your time at Europe’s best place for cycling.

There are over 100 carbon road bikes, trekking bikes, mountain bikes (including e-bikes), and sporty tandems to choose from. We always make time for our customers because they come first! We collaborate to ensure that you have the proper bike for your requirements, and we’ll gladly recommend some of the most popular routes in the area to get you started. Radvermietung-Mallorca.com gives you access to a well-equipped professional workshop as well as the top employees in the industry that really care about their work. A whole new world of adventure and enjoyment has been opened up by Mallorca’s cycling community and the island itself! In which case, what are you waffling on about? You’ll have such wonderful time if you visit Mallorca. Cycling through the picturesque towns and villages teeming with old olive and pine trees is a genuine treat. Our goal at Emilios Cycling Mallorca is to help you get away from the everyday grind and enjoy life to the fullest.

Environment

If there is one factor that makes this island so special and charming, it is its varied landscape and unparalleled beauty. With your bike you will have no limits and you will be able to visit the best places in Mallorca.

The numerous mountain roads that run through the Serra de Tramuntana and its natural monuments, the shallow ponds and canals of the Albufera Nature Park, the impressive rugged coasts of Mallorca and the charming inland villages, where cyclists can stop to recover their strength, could hardly be more varied.

The secondary roads have hardly any traffic and provide cyclists with alternative and diverse scenic routes on a regular basis.

Weather

The climate and weather in Mallorca is another of the main reasons why it is one of the favourite destinations for outdoor sports.

The island has 300 days of sunshine a year and in autumn, winter and spring the weather conditions are perfect for cycling in Mallorca, with mild temperatures ranging between 15º and 23º, and few rainy days.

Routes

The island has one of the most important road networks for cycle tourists in the Mediterranean, which explains the great demand for cycling in Mallorca throughout Europe.

Specifically, it has about 1.400 km of roads, on which more than 450 km cover signposted routes for the practice of cycle touring and cycling in Mallorca, the courses are of varying degrees of difficulty, which opens up a wide range of options for all kinds of users, from the most experienced to beginners in this noble sport.

Because they had the spiritual awakening they had to have and now know their real and once hidden home/origin

Mallorca's infrastructure is incredibly cycling-friendly, with well-maintained roads, dedicated bike lanes, and a culture that welcomes cyclists.

Seal 6: This signals the end of the tribulation. The Sun goes black, the Moon goes red, and the powers of heaven are shaken. People now know that the wrath of God is about to be poured out on them.Especially the impostors that know the truth know God is about to flat out obliterate them.

People dont know who the Son of Man really is.The 6th and 7th seal.

Why dont the vatican mafia and the media tell you that we are in the end of times(they know we are in the end of times)? One more proof that they dont tell you the truth but just lies to deceive you and hurt you.

Ibon significa el origen.Crees que un tio que se llama el origen no sabe que es el origen de todo? ;)

If you are european or of european descent why would you support the enemies of your ancestors?Only because you were enslaved thats why now you support the impostors that stole your identity and history so dont be stupid and avenge your people.Supporting the fictional jesus is supporting your enemies and you are europeans like the slandered Lucifer.Bunch of traitors is what you are and a bunch of clueless idiots cos damn look how stupid you are LOOK.

Realize how indoctrinated and brainwashed you have to be to want to support the enemies of your ancestors! If you didnt realize you are supporting your enemies that enslaved and killed your ancestors and stole your history and for this reason it is crazy to me that you support murderers that did so much harm to you and your ancestors.

Amaiur- Maya in Navarre is the hidden origin of the Mayan/Pagan Gods and the last bastion of the Basques but their doomed enemies Castile/Madrid/Spain/judeo christianity mafia invaded them and hid real history. Now we know Navarre is the cradle of Europe confirming Navarre is the true Promised Land."Navarre shall be the admiration of the world" - Shakespeare. Now you know why...

The judeo christianity mafia invaded you and enslaved you and wants you to support them and now you support that mafia and you dont see any red flag?LOL....the deception is so obvious that its ridiculous that you cant see something so evident.

Why dont you care that the judeo christianity mafia invaded your ancestors enslaved them and killed them? You dont care because you are indoctrinated and enslaved by those doomed impostors.Imagine believing the doomed criminals that invaded you and enslaved you.No self esteem at all just brainwashed zombies with no personality or critical thinking.

Slaves loving and supporting the impostors that stole their history.Let that sink in.

In this book, Dr. David Skrbina presents a profound and stunning theory: that St. Paul and a band of followers constructed a 'Jesus hoax.' They took a kernel of truth based on Jesus, the man, and turned him into the divine savior of humanity. They did so as a way to strike back at the hated(out of envy...Not to strike back because these criminals are impostors they stole the identity of the envied Romans/Etruscans/Basques/Holy Grail so saying "strike back" makes no sense but of course they had to make up a lie) Roman Empire, and to undermine its strength among the common people. The absolute lack of corroborating evidence for the so-called biblical Jesus, and the fact that key documents such as the four Gospels were written decades after his time, all support this theory.

Everyone, regardless of religious belief, needs to be aware of this astonishing story. This is not just ancient history; it has vast implications for many areas of modern life.

Bitches, no matter how hated I am because you fucks are indoctrinated to hate honest people, I am untouchable/protected and we win so fuck you doomed scum.

The best cycling routes in Alcudia.

There is no doubt: one of the biggest sports attractions of Mallorca is cycling. Not in vain, many professional teams of cyclists flock to the island to prepare the season. The mild climate, the variety of landscapes, the sea, the mountain and the appropriate slopes, make the island a privileged place for this sport practice. We set out to unveil the secrets of cycling in Alcudia, one of the best areas of the island -perhaps the best- to hit the pedals with lots of energy.

To begin to familiarize yourself with the area, what better way than a simple and circular route with which to calmly inspect the surroundings? Departing from Alcudia, we must head towards the Albufereta and follow the path of Can Bregat to Pollensa; from there, to Cala de San Vicente and Puerto de Pollensa, from where we will return to Alcudia. The characteristics of this proposal: 38 kilometers in length, a moderate difficulty and only one hundred and fifty meters of altitude difference. Besides being able to enjoy ecosystems as interesting as Albufereta itself. This route can be extended in depth in the surroundings of this emblematic Natural Park of Mallorca.

Starting from the previous root, and if you want to complicate the route until it becomes difficult – also doubling the length up to about 73 kilometers – you can start at the Port of Alcudia, go from there to Alcudia, to the Port of Pollensa and Pollensa itself, climb towards Inca – passing Mount Tomir, the Monastery of Lluch, Caimari or Selva -, from there, turn back towards the Port of Alcudia passing through Sa Pobla.

A classic: the journey between Alcudia and Cabo Formentor. A spectacular route in terms of landscapes and views. Considered one of the best cycling routes in the world. There are many ways to raise it and with very different levels of difficulty. To squeeze all its possibilities, we propose a route of about 65 kilometers and high difficulty, with a drop of about 1350 meters. Departing from Alcudia, you have to head towards the Port of Pollensa and from there to the Talaia d’Albercutx, which offers incredible views on the way to the Formentor lighthouse. If you prefer a simpler route, you can start from Can Picafort to Alcudia and go through Coll Sa Creueta. The distance in this case is increased to 80 kilometers and the difference is close to one thousand five hundred meters. What has been said: this is the route par excellence of bicycle tourism in Alcudia, in Mallorca and in the Mediterranean.

An easy route and beach profile, ideal for beginners, leads us to La Victoria. There we can find ourselves face to face with S’Illot, one of the few Mallorcan beaches that remain practically intact and that is characterized by wonderful crystalline waters. The route is about 35 kilometers long and the difference in altitude is 350 meters. It begins in the Port of Alcudia and passes through Acunada, Es Mal Pas and the Ermita de la Victoria.

It is also highly recommended to go by bicycle to a beautiful place with historical alibi: the Camí de Coves Blanques, also known as Camí dels Prisoners , since it was built during the Civil War by Republican prisoners in order to be able to place heavy pieces of artillery. This route also allows us to visit the San Vicente cove or Coll de Siller, a place from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the port of Pollensa. It is a moderate difficulty route about 39 kilometers long.

Finally, and only for experts or professionals, we cannot stop proposing the route between Alcudia and Sa Calobra, crossing the wonderful Sierra de Tramontana and places like Cala Tuent or the reservoirs of Cúber and Gorg Blau. A route of extreme difficulty, of more than 120 kilometers in length. Another challenge of the Tramontana can be to crown the highest point of the island, the Puig Major, with its one thousand four hundred and forty-five meters.

The great advantage of leaving from Alcudia towards the mountains is to be able to enjoy the views of the Balearic sea on the right, for many of them one of the great pleasures of bicycle tourism on the island. As we have seen, the possibilities of cycling routes in Alcudia and its surroundings are immense. A gift for bicycle fans of all types and conditions who visit Mallorca, with levels of difficulty and profiles for all tastes.

The Route from Andratx back to Pollença / Alcudia / Can Picafort

The best cycle route in Mallorca was my best day ever on a bike.
bellavista.jpg

Riding the best cycle route in Mallorca was without doubt my best day on a bike. Ever! A big day – one that we had trained for though and better than any sportive we had done. 169km with 4300m worth of climbing. We stopped often and I mean often at the excellent little cafés that seem to be in all the small towns. I drank more coffee and ate more cake than is probably healthy, but you know what? I earned it!

We took the excellent Mallorca Cycle Shuttle from Port de Pollença to Andratx. Kick off was at 0800 when we me the shuttle bus and custom trailer. We rode down from Alcudia old town where we were staying to the pick up point at Club Pollentia. Good idea to ride to the pickup point actually in that it ensured we had everything we needed. Would have been fun if one of us had got off the bus in Andratx ready to cycle back without a cycle shoe

The driver packed all the bicycles carefully and securely in a large trailer (I watched. Carefully. I love my new expensive carbon baby!) and after an hour or so down the motorway past Palma, we cut across to the old town of Andratx and were dropped off on the outskirts to make our own way back. Journey time was about an hour and a quarter. There were some groups on the bus as well as solo riders plus some couples like my boyfriend and I. There was a lot of discussion over which routes to take to get back, and a few loose alliances were made to ride back together or maybe meet for a coffee / lunch.

The route we chose was to hug the ma-10 coastal road as much as possible; dropping down to Cala Estellencs and to Port des Canonge; back to the ma-10, then down to Port Valldemossa; into Port de Sóller; climb up Puig Major by going through Sóller; past the reservoirs and through the tunnel; turn left before the aqueduct and scale Coll dels Reis then swoop down to Sa Calobra followed by the tough climb back up before rejoining the ma-10 past Lluc and straight down Coll de Femenia to old town Pollença then onto Port de Pollença where we would take the coastal road on to Alcudia.
The highlights? All of it, but what sticks out slightly more than others by a nose is the section between Andratx and Deia for its brilliant views and roller coaster road; then Port Valldemossa for such a mad winding road, closely followed by the winding Port des Canonge climb; Banyalbufar, Cala Estellencs and Port de Sóller for their beauty. We will be coming to do the same route again. it was fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. The highlight of our week without a doubt.
The roads were not busy, and when there was some traffic which was not often, the drivers were considerate, The road surfaces were amazing. The views? Just brilliant. This experience will stay with us forever. Mallorca has it all for the cyclist, great surfaces; weather; support services; cafés; courteous drivers plus brilliant routes and climbs. This was my fifth time cycling in Mallorca. I love the place and will keep coming. As I mentioned before, this was my best day on a bike ever.
Is the Andratx to Port Pollenca cycling route the best in the world? If not, it is right up there – certainly better than all those I have ridden over the years in the Alps, Pyrenees and Italy. Here is a link to our route. Written by Louise S. September 2015.

According to many experts, Mallorca is the best road cycling destination in the world. They aint lying.Does your country have a town named Inca?Mallorca does...hmm do the Inca Gods ring a bell? The true dimension of the strength of cycling in Mallorca is perhaps due to the fact that six of the ten most popular and celebrated cycling routes in Spain are in Mallorca. The magical and legendary Mallorca is not even in shitty Spain...Mallorca is another level.Um is your city the most visited place in Europe and the world?Only Mallorca can claim(the most visited place in Europe regionally speaking) this....

GX2eXU0WEAAtoWk[1].jpg

In addition to the thousands of fans, there are more and more cycling professionals who choose Mallorca as the perfect winter training place. Teams such as Lotto Soudal, T-Mobile or Sky already regularly train preseason on the island. In addition, at the end of January, the Mallorca Cycling Challenge is celebrated, with the participation of world-class teams

The climbs of Mallorca are some of the most acclaimed in the world. Challenging even pros such as Sir Bradley Wiggins, the varying inclines and hot weather will really put you through your paces. The mountenous areas tend to be where the toughest climbs are, with both solo cyclists and groups tending to set up their base in either Sóller or Pollença. Sóller is a picturesque town on the west side of Mallorca. Rural in every sense of the word, it’s like time has stood still in the cobbled streets. The vintage tram, pastry shops and locally-made ice cream guarantee a brilliant day trip, even if you’re not on two wheels. Alternatively, Pollença has easy access to a variety of climbs as well as a thriving café culture and various landmarks to cast your eyes over.

Sa Calobra is one of the most famous climbs on the whole island. The gradient with this one is steady enough for those on the hunt for a peaceful ride, with only a few sharp turns to contend with. One of these even loops round itself as the road descends under a bridge, giving a whole new perspective on one of the best cycling routes in Mallorca. There are fewer than five of these loops in Europe, so you know you’re in for a special treat here. On the way back to the village of Sa Calobra you’ve got to have your wits about you as the rocky road is bound to put both yourself and your bike through its paces. Views along the way are of cliff faces and the sea, giving you all the motivation you need to get the pedals into motion.

IRONMAN 70.3 is one of the most well-known triathlons in the world with various races held throughout the year in a multitude of destinations including Florida, Queensland and Quebec. This year(2018) Alcúdia in Mallorca is home to one of the qualifying rounds, with the top 50 attendants gaining a slot in the 2018 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The Mallorca stretch isn’t for the fainthearted. After a 2.4-mile swim and before a 26.2-mile marathon you’ll endure a 112-mile bike ride. Taking you through golden beaches, steep cliffs and glorious bays in our opinion the views are enough to spur you on to success.

Alcudia will host one of the Ironman events in Mallorca in 2025.

First up, I love Mallorca; I have been 4 times in the last 2 years, raced 3 times and a training camp earlier this year. It is cycling/triathlon Mecca (of Europe) with that the Ironman 70.3 in Alcudia is very popular and it’s easy to see why: well organised, great location, not that far from the UK and good weather (more about that later). The problem with all these great features is that it fills up really quickly, so you enter back in October because it will sell out otherwise.

Ironman 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca is the biggest 70.3 in the world, with 3,700+ participants from 100+ different countries. https://trailrunner.substack.com/p/marvelous-mallorca

Ahhh, Mallorca.

Just saying the word, with it’s lazy double L’s, relaxes the soul with visions of soft tropical winds, smooth island mountain roads, and fresh seafood delights. This popular destination was highly recommended from my European friends, often described to Americans as “the Hawaii of Europe, but with more cyclists”. I was here for the endurance party known as the Ironman 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca triathlon, to get my first taste of Mallorca, and if all goes well, earn a slot to the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in New Zealand. The views were incredible. I could see why Mallorca is a cycling mecca, and popular training grounds for professionals. In fact, one of my favorite pro riders, 2x Ironman World Champion Patrick Lange, is a regular here, and was also out racing today just a few weeks off of finishing second at Ironman Texas.

Port de Pollensa. Discover the northern Mallorca resort that inspired Agatha Christie to write a novel, and has attracted holidaymakers for decades.

The Pagan Romans the real Romans were Italo Celts(Basques)and Julius Caesar was a Pagan from Pagan Rome the real Rome.It was judeo christianity(doomed Spain/Madrid) that invaded, enslaved and killed the Celtic people and indoctrinated them to turn them into christians/slaves.

The sixth seal(that's now) is armageddon(the last battle between before the Day of Judgement)

No cuela no cuadra...

If now you are christians/catholics and you had to have a spiritual awakening because you were deceived, who had to deceive you being christians/catholics?It is obvious who the judeo christianity mafia/catholic church in charge of the world.

So you morons thought that the enemies/judeo christianity of your ancestors wouldnt slander and lie about your Pagan ancestors to get you to support these impostors/judeo christianity? You backstabbing fucks. The moronic americans think they are free when being christians proves they are not free but slaves.Fail.

The battle of Armageddon refers to the final war between governments and God.Obviously the god of the governments(judeo christianity mafia)is not the real God they will face, but themselves pretending to be God in their falsified bible.

Many people describe the final battle at the end of the world as the battle of Armageddon that takes place in the Last Days before the new heaven and the new earth.

You have to be really stupid and naive to think hollywood are satanists when Pagans lost a long time ago and the judeo christianity mafia took over the world and america and also hollywood but these impostors are shrewd so they made people believe that they are satanists to frame and slander Satan further but it is the judeo christianity mafia who controls the USA not the people this mafia exterminated. You cant run hollywood unless you are serving the judeo christianity mafia so to try to convince someone that hollywood is run by non judeo christians is laughable and absurd cos as i said the world now is run by the judeo christianity mafia.

If the world was the Pagan world before the judeo christianity mafia invaded the Pagan world(meaning the USA, Europe and the world was Pagan) and stole it and this mafia dont teach you this fact in school why cant you see that they lied to you in school?Come on wake the fuck up.

Hey pathetic "americans" how does it feel being doomed? You fucktards should be pro Celts not pro the doomed mafia you support today you pathetic and laughable slaves.I shit on the fictional jesus this shouldnt offend you cos judeo christianity is your enemy too stupid slaves.

I shit on you americans because I am superior to pathetic slaves who support the enemies of their ancestors. How pathetic you have to be to support the enemies of your ancestors? The sad thing is that you think you are great
😂
😅
🙃

Recycling the old world/Tartaria.

Los que violaron torturaron y asesinaron a las niñas de Alcacer fueron politicos del PP no los 2 cabezas de turco que condenaron y la mafia/policia ejpañola lo sabe.

Alcúdia, Mallorca has one of the best bays in Europe for practising water sports, with ideal wind conditions and first-rate facilities, both on land and in the water. The Bay of Alcudia, the largest bay on the island, is one of the most beautiful places to navigate as most of the Alcudia Bay is protected from the winds.
