Comes from my GGrandmother, who claims that her mother was full descendant of Slaves and her father was blond and blue eyed and she said that he or he parents were not born in Brazil, that surname comes from he, i thought that he was a Portuguese looking by some informations of some relatives but its unsure.
I Found some registers in google saying that comes from Zaragoza from some Spanish settlers, also the city which was said in register is the same of where my family is from but i just have that, she dont have much documents but her sisters have, so next time when i visit her i hope find more informations :/

i have the same issue with my east european ancestry, my great grandfather that i posted here and was classified as Dinarid he had a very possible East european surname but is also common in spain according to grandma he was really red haired( like grandma but lighter) and his father too he was red haired and green eyed not a very tall guy but according to grandma would be something like textbook Norid, the surname is Matas that even my mother carry it it's common in spain but is also common in Czech republic or croatia etc... grandma later have a very close coincidences with poles or other eastern europeans.

Very interesting, i know in Portugal have a solid Ukraine-Slavic population, maybe in Spain occoured something similar?
Also maybe its a surname from Roman/Byzantine that both Iberians and Slavic accepted during the process of Greco-Romanization/Latinization of europe? Idk
