Dravidian is a linguistic group, why do motherfudgers keep referring to it as some genetic ancestry group ? 😂 by Dravidian do they mean Vedda? Cause the original Dravidian speakers were mainly Caucasoids like the Brahui before migration southwards being absorbed into the existing Vedda population. Saying some one has Dravidian in them is as dumb as saying someone has Celtic, Slavic or Cushitic in them. There’s no way Veddas existed in Southeast Asia but they have similar dark indigenous people such as the Negritos, Papuans and other Austronesian people - I guess some low IQ people are referring to these indigenous southeast Asians as “Dravidians”.

Lol the russian guy in TA(hugochaves) kept using dravidians as a reference point for australian aboriginals, then he claimed southern chinese and non-australoid seasians as dravidian

The word "Dravidian" can be used linguistically, phenotypically and genetically. Also, not forgetting that most people in the Indian subcontinent are heavily mixed with Veddoid/Dravidianoid/AASI.

Brahvis from Pakistan who are classed as Dravidians, probably the biggest evidence of the Elamite-Dravidian theory

South Indian girl who won Miss USA, I believe she’s Telugu or Tamil

She has a little more Veddah ancestry obviously due where her ethnicity is located but there’s no way modern day South Indians are fully veddah, clearly modern day Dravidian speakers are not the best representatives of the Veddah “subrace”

Actual Vedda people today, somewhere in Sri lanka

The-Vedda.jpg

Native Negrito people of Southeast Asia closely related to Papuans, they have nothing to do with Dravidian speakers of South Asia although they may share genetics with Vedda people but as you can see Southeast Asia has their own native black people, so constantly slandering Dravidian people is hilarious because they’re originally caucasoid group.

ok but when people use the term dravidian to describe someone they mean people like tamils etc.

you are right that brahuis are dravidians but many people online are probably not even aware of that

the world's most famous anthropologists associate the Dravidian phenotype with Veddoid and Indo Melanid. In addition, it goes without saying that phenotypes such as Gracile Indid and North Indid also have Veddoid admixture.

Yeah and it’s dumb although Brahvi are partly to blame for it as all of them also identify as Baloch and think people are dividing them if you insist on referring to them as Brahvi.

Also constantly conflating Dravidians with the Veda is also a disservice to both groups and it’s also used by Dravidian nationalists in India to push this narrative that they’re the actual natives of India when in reality they’re just as foreign as the Indo-Aryan speakers, it’s just that they absorbed more Vedda ancestry as they migrated earlier but also ended up wiping out the native Vedda language, culture and folk beliefs.
