Are these hights that some of you mentioned your morning, afternoon or evening heights?

not talking about our members but most people either lie about their height and add a few centimeters OR dont know their exact height and just give a value they think that they are . often also taller than what they really are . some also claim their heights in shoes

i have met so many people in real life claim a wrong height . i had guys who are several centimeters shorter than me (i am 176-177cm) claim 175cm . or guys who are only a little taller than me claim 186cm

one of the chicks i met from a site when she visited me she was like 163cm or so but her profile said 170cm . lol

many people have guessed my height 180cm in real life . i was even guessed 182cm

I am also frequently guessed at 180

There is a guy who is my coursemate and he says that he is basically the same hight as me or 2 cm shorter. The guys in reality os like 167-168 cm and claims to be almost the same height as me.

mother is 165cm and father around 175
Based on those heights you got lucky to be 183 cm in a sense because according to the not so accurate height determination formula, if you had parents heights and add 13 to the sum and then divide the entire thing by 2 you get the mid potential height or they call it something like that. If a person falls in the +-5 cm range from that calculated number then the height of the person is considered accurate in relation to his parents' heights

My mom's cousin is somewhere around 173 cm give or take 1 cm and he claims to be 180-181 cm tall😃

To be fair tho his parents are extremely short and even that 173 cm is a gift height that he got. His father is circa 164-165cm and his mom is like maybe even below 150cm

He has a brother who is even more atypical and weird because he is probably 177-178 cm barefoot evening height even tho he claims to be 183 cm but judging by the fact that his parents are that short and have a huge gap in between their heights, he got EXTREMELY lucky

Do these calculations take into account the environmental effect ? Studies also show that at least since the last century, new generations keep getting taller. I also forgot to tell you that I have scoliosis which might probably make me shorter than what I should be (anyway I think I'm around 180-183cm)

It depends on the type of scholiosis. Usually, mild scholiosis doesn't affect the growth that much and the person reaches his/her genetically determined height.

In the past century all the nations have grown significantly thanks to improved conditions, for the most part a lot of people aren't malnourished anyomore and get an adequate amount of calories to support bone development. However, i have to say that height is still a very highly heritable trait.

In that case I think conditions played a key role since my brother (younger than me) is taller than me

I have also heard that the nutrition the person receives while they are in the infancy influences the growth later jn life during puberty for example.

In your brother's case he is even more detached from that formula and I don't know what the definite cause for that can be.
