Never heard of such a name. Maybe it immigrated to spain sometime recent to his contemporary time never seen any hispanic americans with that last name

But with quick search I think is a word in old Castilian. But no idea tbh.

yeah still i tried to find other 'Aerigos' from Spain and the only one who had the surname in Spain was my Great Great Great Grandfather so it's very hard
