Never heard of such a name. Maybe it immigrated to spain sometime recent to his contemporary time never seen any hispanic americans with that last name

i did a very long search and seems that is a very uncommon surname of possible Greek origin.

It doesn't sound Spanish. It sounds Greek.
But with quick search I think is a word in old Castilian. But no idea tbh.
it's a weird last name. Although it is normal for our old relatives to have rare and rarely used surnames today. I have many rare last names in ancient ancestors

yeah still i tried to find other 'Aerigos' from Spain and the only one who had the surname in Spain was my Great Great Great Grandfather so it's very hard

perhaps because Spanish was influenced by Semitic languages. (Esarhaddon is a name of Semitic origin)
