even though as a group cypriots look different . individually cypriots have a decent overlap with kurds and armenians etc. .

for what its worth i made a thread in the past if i pass better as greek-cypriot or georgian . i used people of both ethnic groups who (at least somewhat) looked similar to me typewise (so not necessary the most typical people of each ethnic group)

and it is very easy to see that i would pass as both despite both countries not being the first options for me passing wise :

If I recall it correctly in your list you place cyprus as one of your best fits.

And while comparing myself to these pictures of cypriots, I don't see a lot of similarity between me and them even though you gave me cyprus as my first and best passing population😀

yes cyprus is IMO after kurdish , turkish , armenian ....my 4th best fit . maybe with azeri equally give or take . by first options i meant not the first 2-3

and well not all cypriots look like that . i picked them to make a point about me passing there pretty well . but i dont think you would look too off among us either .

I just don't think that I look that much like cypriots and greek islanders for them to be my first 2 populations

Alright but my opinion still stands. Why do you think that cypriots resemble armenians and turks in looks as well as some kurds like yourself?

The general perception of them might be wrong but based on their overall genetical structure they should look in between southern euros and levantines.

They resemble eastern-northeastern populations more than they theoretically should if you know what i mean.

They are quite close to armenians genetically, especially to western armenians but they are closest to assyrians.

Georgian Jews are like Kurdish Jews and are proud to be from Georgia and having a Georgian culture, like Kurdish Jews are proud being from Kurdistan and having a Kurdish culture. Kurdish Jews in Israel are still listening to Kurdish music, have Kurdish traditions etc. Same with Georgian Jews who don't really associate themselves with the other Jews or even to the state of Israel. Although many of them migrated to Israel due to the economic reasons. Just like Kurdish Jews.

So, if Georgian Jews (in Georgia) don't feel really related to the other Jews and don't care about Israel at all, what do you think how they would feel toward the Arabs from the Levant, such as Palestinians or Lebanese who have nothing in common with them. They see them as alien people. But they don't hate them like Ashkenazi Jews hate Palestinian Arabs, lol.

Sure, so Israel/Jews love Palestinian Arabs and want to mix with them and have babies with them. Israel/Jews also love Lebanese Hezbollah and never fought against the Lebanese Arabs, just think of the battles in Beirut against the Lebanese Arabs. hehe.

All what I am saying that compared to the Ashkenazi Jews, Kurdish or Georgian Jews don't really care about the Arabs from Lebanon or Palestine. Because Georgian Jews, just like Kurdish Jews still feel connected with the countries where they are from (Georgia or Kurdistan).

Maybe something is changing now, I mean this decade, I don't know about that.

Two very dissonant opinions up there. So I did research on Georgian Jews.... and Mesoman was correct - They're more in line with Assyrians, and they are apparently Jews from Babylon Captivity (anyone remember bible class?), and they're not that related to ethnic Georgians because they're Semites not Caucasians.
