I mean, what he’s doing isn’t wrong. Because people like that mod literally posts false pictures or either gypsies or Bedouins and tries pass them off as Kurd and say how Kurds pass worse in Europe than Palestinians and Kurds look more south Asian or ssa mixed or whatever
He got mad because one time I posted a crowd pic of gazans and a lot of people guessed Egyptian or south Asian and he got really pissed saying how they are not Levantine but Bedouin and Egyptian. Bro he acts like levantines are Yamnaya or something. He also likes to post mixed Palestinians and...
Funny thing is that Levantine guy tried his hardest to pass off levantines as north euro, not even south euro. He claims that 40 percent of Palestinians have blonde hair and even said I can’t pass in Palestine and said they would perceive me as either Bedouin, Kurd, or gypsy.
I hate that guy tbh. He has a mission to try to white wash levantines as hard as he can by posting the most atypical he can find and tries to agenda post other mena people like Kurds by using pictures of Bedouins and passing them off as Kurd and asking a retarded question like “do these Kurds...
That’s because they lack the Bedouin admixture a lot of Iraqi Arabs have. There are a lot of Iraqi Arabs who don’t have that Bedouin admixture, especially from Baghdad and up and some of them are Arabized Kurd, Assyrians, and turkmen. I knew an Iraqi Arab of Turkish origin in my college who...
A lot of people don’t know that because they think Mesopotamian Arab = dark. A lot of Iraqis have recent Bedouin ancestry because a lot of peneinsualr Arabs migrated into Iraq in the Middle Ages. Native Mesopotamians are not really any darker from a lot of levantines. Iraq compared to its...
One guy on phenotypes and asklevant posted a map showing genetics for light eyes and the maronites had the highest recessive gene for it with 33 percent. One guy tried to explain it because it’s from endogamy because they don’t mix with their neighbors as much as their Muslim counterparts and...
In America it’s a little different because most the Lebanese who immigrated here are Christian and they are an older diaspora, coming in the late 1800s to the early 1900s. And alot of them have mixed with the locals in america. People like Ralph Nader and Chris sununu have Lebanese origins
plus I think that perception comes from because Lebanon is like the “Hollywood” of the Middle East and hardcore cherry-picking can happen. Plus alot of Lebanese diaspora in Europe and America are the best integrated and usually intermarry with locals, lightening them even more
They think they’re the whitest. I do notice it varies with Lebanese depending on religion. Maronites are slightly more northern with having the best change for the lightest features. Then Sunnis follow, then Shias.
I think, especially if u are trying to aspire to be a ruler or a religious scholar, it gives you more legitimacy and a sense of prestige. Even queen Elizabeth has traceable lineage to the prophet.
