ok so ... i already talked about this often before in other threads but i would like to dedicate a thread on it

first let me start like this :

as you know there is an anthromyth that Iranians and Kurds look very alike and that we are basically the same . this is NOT true . dont get me wrong i am not speaking in total terms . of course there are many iranians who will look similar to Kurds (and other northern west asians ) . BUT there are also many many who will look strikingly different from us

other than the fact that all ethnicities have their own look by default . and other than environmental / climatic influence on look etc. ....

there is one good tool to show why Iranians can often look different from Kurds . Eurogenes K12b (and also other calcs but i want to focus on Eurogenes K12b right now)

a significant amount of Iranians will score a significant amount of south asian in this calculator . and the south asian component in this calculator will only be scored in significant amount by either south asians or gypsies . on many calculators like Eurogenes K13 the south asian component has a lot of hidden west asian in it . but the south asian component in eurogenes k12b has very little if any hidden west asian in it

as i said before it is the best gypsy detector calculator . and it is a good south asian detector in general too . you are in doubt if your grandmother was gypsy ? Eurogenes K12b will show it . you are not sure if you have recent south asian ancestry ? Eurogenes K12b will give you the answer


unlike Persians who can score up to 14% and probably even more ....the average score for Kurds is around 2% ...which is not more ..(or barely so) than other northern west asians . and by the way i am not even talking about south and east iranians who can score even more . it is north and central iranians who can score so much !!! i will show you . keep reading

before i post results of Kurds and Persians in part 3 i want to show you 2 people which have the highest south asian scores with 81% and 84% we have found so far . to show you how this component basically looks like appereance wise :

now it is time to look at the Eurogenes K12b results of Kurds in general and also specific Persians and compare

note : just for the record these results do NOT represent the average persians results . these are specifically picked by me to prove a point . my point is that there is a significant amount of Iranians with a significant south asian score like this . but you dont have this with Kurds . 4% is already ATYPICAL for a Kurd as you will see in the Kurdish Eurogenes K12b thread . the average score is around 2%

PART 5 . SUMMARY

so as you can see there are many persians who will score more than 5-6% sout hasian .....up to freaking 10 - 14 % !! such scores are not possible for Kurds or any other northern west asian ethnicity unless the person has gypsy ancestry / mix .

you might think that even 10% maybe even 14% is too little to affect looks ? then you are wrong . i showed you 2 indian people above with 81% and 84% . such admixture will most certainly affect a population lookwise .

the more a population has of such component the more likely you will find individuals who will look either south asian influenced phenotypically .....or will straight up look indian

on top of it the Iranians score less mediterranean than us by the way . to add this ....if you didnt notice above

so now that we have learned this .....

add climate and enviromental factors . and the fact that every ethnicity has their own look regardless of genetics


and you get the reason why there are Iranians like these who look very different from Kurds :

I have no idea what Persians look like. but they are definitely different from me because a Persian said I look very different from them.
