i cant understand or speak arabic yet, but i can read it. however im not super religious, but im just telling him basics. its basics for every muslim to perform salaat, and its basic knowledge that we all know prayer is mandatory, both shia and sunnis. its lil crazy you guys think im strict, when im not at all. i have been recieved islamic education though, not professional levels. just basics

if you think im ''extremist'', then go to rural sunni villages of afg or syria, then you'll see REAL strict islam

He is telling you that he is ill and not able to pray, but you keep telling him that he will go to hell if he doesn't conform to your views.
That is why I asked you if you understand Arabic,
Since you don't understand what you read, how can you judge his views as wrong and your as the only truth?

that's not ''interpreting'' thats literally how it is. thats what the surahs say. this is why every muslim know its a huge sin not to pray, when you can.

im not pissed off that you dont know how to pray, its just annoying you treat this command and these surahs as it doesnt mean much, as if there arent gonna be any real consequences in afterlife, if you dont pray for forgiveness


if youre at least capeable, then pray the way you can, but try to emulate actual prayer the best way you can. god will accept your prayers then

1. i straight up posted the translations of surahs. its clear there. people who can arabic, will share their knowlegde of islam to the ones who cant. this is why non-arab speakers still can learn islam. im not looking at arab letters, and then pull shit out of my ass

2. i say he will go to hell, if he doesnt pray at all. but that if he's healthy. even being ill, if he's still somehwat capeable, he can try to pray the best way he can, without hurting himself mentally.
if he cant even pray at all due to extreme mental illness, no, he wont go to hell, because god understands.

people who CAN pray, and choose NOT to, then in islam that person will most likely go to hell for disobeying god

well i dont want to have excuses either . if i really wanted i could ...not sure how often but i could .

but as i said i dont believe that God will send you to hell for not praying . but in the end only God knows ....nobody has a safe ticket in his/her jacket to paradise . we will see after we die

but telling people they will go to hell is really fucked up . it only scares people and actually pushes them away from religion instead of attracting

dude, the surahs makes it very clear. every muslim knows this

yes, no one is fully safe, but if you disobey this very important command, youre more likely going to hell. this isnt ''god knows best'' situation. its strictly clear that disobeying god by choosing not to pray at all, even if you can, youre going to answer on judgment day. he's your creator, he doesnt need you, but you have to respect him.


no, it isnt ''really fucked up'' to tell that not praying leads to hell. this will remind them simply just obeying god's command and simply pray. the prophet literally went several times to god to shorten the amount times to pray a day, and its 5 now. this isnt meant to scare you, but remind you, and if you simply perform prayer, if youre capeable, then you have nothing to worry about. yes, be scared of hell. if youre scared of hell, then just simply become a muslim.


im sorry, but islam isnt special ed's kindergarden with rainbows and everything. there's a reason for hell and heaven, and there are consequences.
if you try your best with prayer, the best way you can without hurting yourself, then you dont have to worry about that part.


you have to follow god's commands, but follow it the best way you can. and god will accept your good deeds

whats your point again

just because i cant speak arabic, doesnt mean i cant achieve islamic knowledge. people have translated the quran, so i can learn from there. mullahs with actual proper knowlegde can educate me, wihtout me having to learn understand arabic

and you better not accuse me of not respecting God . this would be a serious insult to me .

in fact it seems to me that i am right now the one who respects God more out of us 2 (but also this only God can decide not us) . i dont have to audacity to tell people they will go to hell because only the almighty knows who will go to hell

1. the surahs clearly say that, millions of muslims arent wrong, youre just the one who want to sugercoat it

2. i didnt say youre not respecting god, since i already said that youre forgiven for not praying, if you truly cant at all. if youre healthy enough, and can, but choose on purpose not to, then youre disrespecting him. but he forgives you, because god knows you cant pray, if thats true. nowhere did i say you specifically disrespect him. youre putting words in my mouth

3. reminding people of god's wrath and important commands in islam is a must for every muslim. this is why we give da'awah too to non-muslims. we not only have to try reminding non-muslims, but amongst ourselves too. im not sure how many actual muslims you even know, because this shouldnt offend you at all

4. im not behaving like a shit. sorry, but im not even ''radical'' in any way, every muslim will tell you this

5. thats not why muslim countries are ''shitholes''. it isnt for reminding people of god's wrath, even though thats not a bad thing at all, or being ''strict'', but there are many factors. youre just the one who's being insensitive and ignorant here now

this is how islam is. it isnt sugar-coated like christianity with its reformations, but god will help you, if you follow his simple commands the best way you can.
