Italians barely have north african ancestry but they surely have substantial amount of levantine/anatolian ancestry due to a massive geneflow during the late republican/early imperial era if not earlier with the greek settlers in southern Italy. Modern sicilians can literally be modelled as half levantine...

They were the center of the world (from a western point of view), so it is normal. Even Iberia underwent substantial change during Roman times and was a peripheral place.

Because of substantial r1b from bell beakers which are associated with celtic people. About a 90%-100% replacement in paternal y in iberia occured. But I've never considered myself 'celtic' lol, it was mostly a language influence not genetic. The issue is that people think this celtic idea means we are like the irish.. which isn't true.

I don't get the angst. All Europeans are mongrels, so the Italians fit right in. The WHGs belonged to haplogroup I, the haplogroup like haplogroup J developed from haplogroup IJ somewhere in West Asia. Take the EHGs, they developed in Siberia, Central Asia and some of them were J1, The Neolithic farmers came from Anatolia. CHG came from south of the Caucasus, Kotias was J1 and every European has CHG in their genetic ancestry. So, aren't they all black arsed Wogs?

Wtf bro, i am pretty much mostly iberian with some bit of german and +/- 4% african. My italian component is ridiculously little, i am being real here, northern italians are obviously more northern looking than iberians on average, you are also a Pred euro latin american like me, i don't know why you spend your time with that.
