western and eastern, as well. Western part of Georgia is Adjaria, more closer to Turkey

i have seen profiles on facebook of people from adjara and i think i would pass among them even though as not the most typical one

i know for sure that i pass as Laz since i am familiar with their looks because we are both from turkey . and a laz member in another forum told me i pass too

would i pass as imereti , mingrelian , svan , racha , gurian etc . in your opinion ?

honestly, my first guess would be Lezgin if we didn't know each other and I met you first time. You could definitely pass in western parts of Georgia, Imereti is not exception

Did they also give you a pass in the western part of the country?

as far as i remember some did

lately i talked to a georgian on another site and he gave me a pass for west georgia but mentioned that i pass better in east and south and that i also look armenian more than georgian in general

he also placed me in turkey , italy , greece . and something else

i posted what he said lately in this thread

hahahaahahaha it's okay bro, ask as much as you want
in north Caucasus you'll be an Ossetian and a Tat, however their facial features are unique and peculiar compared to neighbors

@wandering stranger Since you are North Caucasian, perhaps you could tell me what tat jews AKA mountain jews look like? i haven't seen much of them. Do they blend in with North Caucasians?

some say that Mountain Jews came from Mesopotamia who were escaped from a local dictator or exiled by locals folk, and other stories say that they are Persians who were converted to Judaism, they speak Tati/Parsi = Persian language

They descend from Persian Jews who arrived in the Northern Caucasus in 5th century AD. Regarding their phenotype, do they look noticeably foreign from local North Caucasians?

they definitely look foreign with their non native phenotype, since the majority of indigenous inhabitants are predominantly Mtebid and Pontid. The same thing is as well with Circassians living in Turkey or Georgians in Iran who do not look like locals

circassians in turkey do look like locals most of the time

people can not tell them apart from us most of the time . especially from turks . it is also very hard to guess who in turkey is of circassian origin . irem sak , bekir aksoy and many more i wouldnt know they are circassian if they didnt say it

Some Fereydani Georgians I've seen looked very Iranian, but I guess they obtained some Iranian admix throughout hundreds of years
