Where does this Saudi pass

If he passes in South Asia then that makes him atypical looking for SW Asia
Having been to southwest Asia and having met many southwest Asians aka Arabians, there is a lot of overlap. He's atypical in neither region, he fits the spectrum of both.

I don't think that a lot of Gulf Arabs pass in South Asia
From my experience, a lot of them do. Gulf arabs even get mocked by Levantine Arabs for looking kind of "hindi", this is something both Gulf arabs and shami arabs have told me. Yemenis are literally mocked the most cause of certain stereotypes and colorism plays a role in that.

There are huge differences between southwest Asians and the average Indian phenotype.
You conflate south Asian with indian, that would be like me conflating west Asian with Saudi Arabian. There are 7 countries in South Asia and sorry to break it to you but the guy in the pic is not exotic at least in Pakistan and I’d assume the same for north India. I don’t know the value of a Turkish passport and currency but I’d encourage you to travel abroad if you can.

Not sure about that. An average Saudi clearly has a distinguishable pheno from an average South Asian of each of the 7countries. Not saying that there are not any Gulfers who can't pass in South Asia but those who do won't pass that well anyway and that's because both South Asians and Gulfers give different vibes from one another

I see gulf people all the time in America, a lot of them can pass in South Asia. Of course there are different vibes, just like there’s different vibes between a west Asian and a southern European, heck there are different vibes between different ethnic groups belonging to the same cardinal regional but that has more to do with culture and where you were brought up, even an American raised Bangladeshi would stand out in Bangladesh because of his “vibe”.

West Asians-Northern West Asians pass far better as Southern Europeans than Saudis pass as South Asian. It looks like you have got a firm opinion on this so no need to argue about it further. I think that most people who are not noob in taxonomy would agree that both South Asians and Gulf Arabs don't pass well for one another on average. But keep in mind that I am not denying the existence of pheno overlap between the individuals of the two populations but such people are scarce

the problem is that maj thinks of a small / particular subset of south asians . like some punjabis , kashmiris , north pakistan etc. . in that sense yeah he can be south asian . but the thing is that the vast majority of south asians DO fit the stereotypical south asian look that we all have in mind . that look where you instantly know / see that the person is from the subcontinent . distinctive indian features + most of the time brown skin with loam like undertones . but most importantly the distinctive south asian features

and this saudi guy like most saudis doesnt fit that
