what is your FFMI

"FFMI is the abbreviation of Fat-Free Mass Index. It describes the amount of your muscle mass in relation to height and weight. FFMI is part of the family of body indexes, together with well-known and similar BMI."

so basically how much muscle mass you have

i have an FFMI of roughly / around 24 . that is pretty sick because usually 25 is the MAX you can reach without steroids . some people (like me ) can reach 26-27 without steroids but a minority . at 25+ the person in most cases uses steroids

it is sick in my case because i am not dedicated to bodybuilding . most of my training in my life has been boxing , running , push ups , dips etc. . but mostly boxing and running . i do also do weight training but not as regularly and not as long to explain why i have such a freaking high muscle mass index

i weigh 114 kg btw. . at 177cm . as i said i have too much fat right now over my muscles but i still dont look 114kg . the reason is my high muscle mass and proportions . my lean body weight is 75kg !!!!! if i had 0% bodyfat (which is not possible because you would die) i would be 75kg !!!! at 177cm !!! wtf

by the way here is the list / scale for FFMI for both male and female . but it is from a german site . and i have seen many sites that said up to 26-27 is possible to reach without steroids but that steroids are likely already at that point . and 28+ = steroid usage likely according to those sites

but as far as i know 25 is the natural limit . but some people will reach 26-27 . i am one of those people it seems since i am already around 24 without taking training much seriously

this is from a german site based on a scientific study on at least 5000 adults

another site / scale listing : but i think this one is wrong . usually 25 is known as the natural limit . no way 28+ . 28 is 100% steroid usage


The following table indicates the classification of FFMI indexes.

Note that:

  • scores of FFMI between 26-27.9 may indicate usage of steroids, but still might be attainable naturally,
  • scores of FFMI between 28-30 are highly unlikely to be achieved naturally without steroid usage.

This next year I plan to start working out more, I already started lifting a bit heavier, I plan to add more muscle mass. Before I did not really lift much and stuff. I did more cardio than strength condition. Super necessary. Especially as I plan to start to compete more #Grappling this next year. 🙏I want to be the best shape I possibly can be. 💪👊

cardio is more important than lifting IMO

my new year goals are to lose bodyfat and start with running again

i would like to reach the FFMI of 25 if possible . but thats it . i dont want much more muscle mass than that tbh. lol

i only need to lose bodyfat then i will look great . pardon me if i say this but i have very good body proportions too . but too much bodyfat ruins your look and also performance

Me and you have very similar heights but you weight 47kgs more than me. You also look buff in that pic

i have even more muscles now than on that pic . but also a lot more fat unfortunately

and it is normal that i weigh more than you . i am a lot older than you . beside of that i am naturally unusually muscular . i have more muscle mass than many guys who train regularly and who take lifting more serious than me

Yeah, you look more buff in that pic. You remind me body-wise with this Kurd Youtuber who I fallow for years who is into Fitness and stuff, he workouts anywhere he's at, dont matter the location, lol.
His cardio is incredible like he does very high-level athletic stuff. Things that arent easy to do.

I am more on the skinny side..

Maybe you also have a genetic advantage for building muscle

Whenever you workout in the gym do you do heavy compound lifts?

well because of the fact that i dont take lifting serious and dont do it as regularly as i could ....i dont lift much weight

for example i can bench 30kg per side for benchpress . 30kg dumbell each hand
