He looks extremely north african, a very good example of a berber phenotype

To me he looks like Arabid mixed with the Berberid (North East African). Nevertheless, looks stereotypically Semitic (Afro-Asian.).

Arabs can't have look like that. Many people don't know how gulf arabs look therefore think north african phenos are arab/semitic.

This is what I mean by the so called Arabid/Semitic/Jewish 'horse face' and the Tunisian man has clearly these features. Like the most Northern Africans he is a mixture between the Berberids and Arabids, nevertheless he looks pure Semitic (Afro-Asian).

These people are pure Arabids without Berberid:

They are not arabids nor do they look typically arab.

These are pure gulf arab looks :

tunisians look part black to me, maybe closer to egyptians (excluding coptic), they are darker than Algerians and Moroccans, but then again, i havent really met many lol

The dude I posted is the Gulf Arab (Saudi). The girl is Lebanese.

Yeah, the people on your pictures look extremely Semitic/Arabic.

BTW, Gulf Arabs are not the original Arabs. Homeland of the Arabs is somewhere around Yemen. So, what do Gulf Arabs have to do with the proto-Arabid phenotype in the first place?

By gulf arabs I meant peninsular arabs and no original arabs came from southern levant and then expanded southward but the purest arabs are bedouins

I have got a question. A part of the Berbers from Morocco are almost 'black'/Negroide. Here in Amsterdam light Moroccans (mostly of Berber origin) call those dark Berbers 'Soussis'.

So I noticed that Arabs and Berbers from Morocco come in different shapes and colours. I have seen very light Berbers but also Negroide Berbers. I have also seen very dark close to Negroide Arabs from Morocco.

Is it the same in Tunisia? Do they also have dark (Soussi) and light Berbers?

It's the same everywhere in North Africa, you always have these black minorities either native from the sahara or brought by the slave trade. And be careful with soussis, it's true that many blacks come from there but actually the white berbers from there are the purest in all the maghreb they can score as much as 50% taforalt

No tunisians look like other maghrebis. These are regular/average tunisians :

Yeah, i heard similiar from some lebanese guy who is knowlegdeable about DNA of levant people + read a lot of DNA studies. That arab identity originated from north, not south

Apparently according to him, they can also have some south asian(nw south asian ancstry), ranging from 2-5% according to some studies he read

Are those "whitest berbers" from the south? Or north?

Such type of ancestry is more common in Oman (balochi ancestry) and eastern arabians overall have persian and black ancestry too.

I know that Arabs from Morocco can be black, I went to school with a very black 'Arab' from Morocco. My other Morocco classmates called him 'Soussi'. I have also seen very dark Berber Soussis.

How different is their genetic profile from other more Western Eurasian looking Moroccans?

They simply have lots of SSA ancestry :

Southern Levant is more or less Egypt and Israel/Palestina right? I don’t think that proto-Arabs are from Israel, lol. Proto-Arabs came most likely from Yemen. That is why we see many similar Afro-Asian features between many Eastern African and many Arabs, like slim elongated face. Thick under lip etc.

they were from southern Palestine, Sinai , NW Hejaz while southern "arabians" were sabeans. As for the link with afro-asiatic, there is no evidence of its spread through the bab el mandeb strait but we do know that southern semitic dialects spread into the Horn 5000-3000 years ago giving birth to the ethiosemitic languages.
