Egypt was a multi-ethnic civilization. People who lived in Egypt were from everywhere. The elite was very mixed with ancestry from Southern Europe (Hellenic) and Northwestern Asia (Urartu-Armenian and Iranic-Mitanni). Native people around Cairo were most likely Northeastern Africans, not very different from the modern Egyptians.
