it is really a tie between both choices, but i just pick west asia, since turkmen are more related to west asians + the several caucasiod looking turkmen
also, turkmenistan got a sizeable russian minority

yeah agree but i still think more closer to west asia.

genetically they are more close to west asian populations. atleast 40% of the turkmenistan population can pass in west asia imo. (even more 40% in turkey and azerbaijan)

but there are also turkmens who look like this



let alone west asia she cannot pass even here

I see 3 different types of central Asians, the examples that you showed, are the more Caucasian-looking, West Asian passing, and mixed-looking ones (European and Mongoloid admix-looking), and than you have the more Mongoloid looking ones, more East Asian or Mongol looking.

yeah and this 3 types are:

tajikistan and turkmenistan - caucasian leaning
uzbekistan and uyghurs - half-half
kazakhs and kygryz - mongoloid leaning

The only Turkmen I have ever seen came from Afghanistan, and they were definitely East Eurasian. I have never seen other Turkmen.
