Where Is The Zoo Project Magaluf?​

A Magaluf hotel will be converted into three hotels with over 1,000 rooms​

The BH Mallorca hotel, owned by Palladium Hotel Group, is to be converted into three hotels under the Fergus and tent brands with 1,056 rooms in total. The repositioning of the property will cost around 20 million euros and it is hoped that the project will serve to de-seasonalise the Magaluf area of Mallorca.

Work will be carried out during the winter and the hotels are scheduled to open in May 2024. The hotels will be aimed at family and premium tourism. Of the three, the Fergus Club Mallorca Waterpark Hotel will be the largest, with 656 rooms. The 4-star hotel, as well as offering several swimming pools, will have the largest water park in a hotel resort in the Balearic Islands.

At the same time, a Magnus Premium area with its own swimming pool, restaurant and facilities is planned, with additional services in the rooms. It has also transpired that the second hotel will be the tent Calvia Beach, which will have 280 rooms and will offer the B&UB (Bed and Unlimited Brunch) concept; while the third will have 120 units and will operate under the name tent Mojito Suite. The latter will be open all year round.

Fergus and Matutes groups lead 20M€ project to reconvert Magaluf​

The BH Mallorca Resort located in Calvià will reopen its doors in May 2024 maintaining its 1,056 apartments distributed in three buildings, but more sustainable and renovated. Fergus Group, together with Empresas Matutes, intends that the improvements will also be transferred to the complementary offer of the area

The hotel BH Mallorca Resort is the establishment chosen by the hotel group Fergus to be added to the works of repositioning of one of the most important mature zones of the islands. A change of model that, they trust, will also be extended to the complementary offer of Magaluf.

Campamento La Victoria​

Situada en Palma, capital de la isla, a 20 kilómetros, Rata Corner es una librería independiente regentada por Miquel Ferrer junto a su socio, Edi Pons, que abrió sus puertas por primera vez hace nueve años, en el edificio en el que el abuelo del primero tenía una vieja imprenta familiar desde 1916. Allí, entre paredes llenas de tinta y conversaciones con Sofía Muntaner Ordinas, Senior Brand Manager ZEL&INNSiDE y una de esas mujeres a las que le brillan los ojos cuando hablan de libros, germinó y se vistió la idea. En 2021 el FLEM estaba en la calle, con su primera edición.

“La intención es la de acercar la literatura a nuevos públicos a través de dos vías”, explica Miquel. “La primera es poner a Magaluf como protagonista, un lugar para que los mallorquinistas lo redescubran”, añade. Ese Magaluf que, de noche, en la empinada calle Punta Ballena, aparece como un pedazo arrancado a Las Vegas, su Fremont Street pero en Palma de Mallorca, con una mezcla ecléctica de británicos que caminan bajo gorras de capitanes de barco, última moda, entre neones rojos de aire retro y kitsch, tiendas de souvenirs y carteles de bares y pubs escritos en inglés. “La segunda, con un cartel heterogéneo que le pueda gustar a todo el mundo, de calidad y divertido a la vez”, continúa Miquel.

While the anti mass tourism and overcrowding movement gathers momentum in Mallorca, it appears that a number of British holidaymakers have other plans on their minds. According to new research from Illicitencounters.com, Britons consider Magalluf as the top destination for a secret holiday romance and nocturnal activity is set to peak on Friday, July 22, dubbed ‘Frisky Friday’, which is apparently the day your other half is most likely to cheat on you, according a study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating site for married people.

The website polled 2,000 of its members on the cheating potential of 10 of Europe's most popular holiday destinations, ranking them from best to worst. Magalluf is followed by Benidorm and the Greek island of Zante. Jessica Leoni, a relationships expert from Illicit Encounters told the Daily Star: "Alcohol, sun, and the sense of freedom you get from being in a different place are the perfect storm when it comes to a holiday fling.
