i am fat at the moment . because i eat too much

and i got confused over the years because of all the so called "experts" who just want to sell their books or whatever saying all kind of nonsense like if you want to lose fat you shouldnt eat carbs ,or only slow carbs , you shouldnt eat at night , calories dont matter but (only) insulin does , cardio is not good , you shouldnt eat much fat ,

and whatever else ....

in the past when i wanted to lose weight i just ate less , ate more healthy , and worked out more especially running . and always lost weight sucessfully . but because these fuckers confused me so much i got insecure and thought that i need a "special" approach .

enough with this nonsense . i will do it the same way as i used to and be fit again

sunday is my birthday so i will eat what i want that day . but monday i will 10000% start my weight loss journey and weigh myself every 2 weeks and will post pics every month and give updates

losing fat is mostly about calories . calories are king . period .

Its already known by most that calories matters a lot(calorie intake for adults should be around 2000 daily), and cardio is important(and easy way to lose weight)

Though its not so good to eat at night, since your body burns the calories less. Either way, good luck

as far as i know and also in my experience eating at night does not slow down fat loss

thanks bro . i am very serious with this . i often said in the past that i plan to lose weight but didnt really do it more than 1-2 weeks . a big reason was what i said on OP.

but now i am fully determined and have made a big decision in my head . it made click . i will reach my goal in 3-4 months . will keep you updated

Boiled/steamed rice, a bit of fruit, and tea, fasting has the best results for body and mind.

long fasting should only be done with doctor

and it is also not a solution for me . i need to make lifestyle changes and get back on how i ate years ago

I agree that it’s calories that lead to weight loss however, the other advice given is helpful. Like eating “slow carbs” as opposed to carbs that break down easily (ie white bread, white rice, etc) can lower your risk of type 2 diabetes and colon cancer. Not to mention, I find when I eat too many carbs, I just eat more calories because I’m hungry like 10 minutes later.

Also, eating at night can cause acid reflux which is just god awful.

as far as i know there is no correlation between "fast" carbs and cancer

dont forget that it turns to glucose in our bodies . what actually increases the risk of colon cancer are sausages and other processed meats . other than smoking and alcohol of course

i weigh around 114kg right now and my goal is 88-90 . but 95 would already be ok
Low carbs or high carbs...at the end of the day, it is about calories in vs. calories out. Exercise helps you rebuild muscle and get a higher metabolic rate. My suggestion if you are interested in weight loss is to start with a few weeks of low- to medium intensity workouts while you get used to a reduced calorie intake, and hit it hard the month after. Always measure yourself each week at the same day and time, and use a body fat calculator to track your body fat. It is possible that you have high levels of lean muscle mass, and that you may not need to lose as much weight as you think you do.

Believe me, my biggest mistake in life and working out until I reached a goal, and then got bigger again in no time. Being lean at this point is almost a lifestyle, especially when you get older.
