the populations for the "Ancestral South Eurasian" component are Papuans and Australian Aborigines . and these people ....which south asian mostly score it from (but they also have a little Papuan and/or Australian)

south asians share a lot of ancestry from such peoples . check the spreadsheet i posted . even punjabis who are one of the most northern indian groups have in this spreadsheet have 14.20 % . you think thats not much ? it is .....even a few percent is significant and will also show on the appereance of a population
it is no surprise that you can see the admix of the andamanese people i just posted on indians . the more south geographically and the more "low caste" (i dont like to use that term to describe humans ) the more they score it and the more you will see it

if they didnt have it they would look very different . they would look similar to tajiks or something . even though we also have to consider environment / climate etc. . it is not that ONLY genetics play a role in looks

AASI is predominantly Australoid
Australoid is not only Australian Aborigine
remember my example with non ssa mixed saudis and norwegians ? both caucasoid but distant to each other . same applies here with AASI and Australian Didgeridoo
i will post some results of various people especially pashtuns and indians . to show their south eurasian ancestry . this calculator is very good if not the best admix calc that shows south eurasian ancestry .

look at the score of the Jatt above . Jatts are one of the most northern indian groups with some of the highest steppe etc . he gets 16 % ASE
that is a lot . you might think it is not much but look at the Andamanese (page 2 ) and also Australian Aborigines . it will make a population brown as fuck and exotic facial features . .....and i dont mean this in an offensive / insulting way either
