I was talking to a Turkish girl studying in Padova. (northeast Italy) She said in Italy I feel like I'm in home (she is slightly darker than average Turk) because all people are brunette. well we are not like Afghans . genetically they are different and lookwise many afghans are different from us too

and Iranians it depends on the Iranian . Iran is too diverse to make such a statement . a good amount of Iranians have elevated south asian / s-indian genetically which we dont have and they will also look accordingly often

Well I’ve learnt that browsing this sub but I’m talking about what the general public think - Kurds are usually associated with other Iranic groups like Persians, Tajiks, Pashtuns and even Baloch, in fact I see a lot of content online from both Kurds and Baloch calling each other brother 😂 but I can understand why people make that mistake cause they liken Kurd as an “Iranian ethnicity”, I don’t believe that but I’m just relaying what a lot of ignorant people think - not many people link Kurds to Punjabis except fot some Indian anthro nerds and it’s just an absurd claim, your real battle is convincing the the world Kurds aren’t Iranian cause that misconception is several magnitudes more prevalent.

but being iranic doesnt mean that we are like pashtuns or balochs or even many persians . in fact we are way closer to Ossetians than to pashtuns and balochs and Ossetians are also Iranic but people never mention this fact .

when it comes to other Iranics we are closest to Talysh , Gilakis , Lurs
