yeah I don't get people that think sharing the same linguistic family means you have anything in common with the other groups in the family, like there's no way an Ossetian shares more in common with Persians than with other Caucasus nations.i have just spoken to an afghan woman . she said it would be nice for us "iranian peoples to unite" . then i said that we are too different genetically and lookwise . then i gave an exmaple that the AASI admix alone afghans have make them different . then she said she is 4% aasi . i asked how she knows . she said 23andme / myheritage . lol wut . i said that 23andme doesnt show it and that she has to do gedmatch and G25 . she didnt know what that is . i told her to download her raw data . i informed her that even north afghan pashtuns have around 10% AASI and that i can show her if she wants . she asked me "are you okay ?" . then she suddenly called me biased and racist and other stuff . i said i didnt say anything bad . she said i am in denial and racist . i said that i am only informing her and that i didnt say anything bad to her . and that she is the one in denial right now . then she blocked me
these afghans are a special kind of weird .
i promise you guys i didnt say anything racist to her . i didnt use any slurs . i did not troll her or anything .

To be fair, I've seen some Kurds promote Pan-Iranism on social media. I think Kurds have more in common with their neighboring nations than they do with Afghans, like a Kurd and an Arab from Kirkuk or a Kurd and a Turk from Diyarbakir definitely share more in common than with someone from Panjshir.putting aside the language thing ....afghans in forums are constantly in denial . i have met several of this kind over the years in anthroboards . no matter how much evidence you show them and post results or models etc. they try to find a way to do mental gymnastics and deny everything . even worse they are trying to misportray us at some point when they are pissed
wtf

Yeah but I mean humans naturally share more in common with people they live around especially if they have been coinhabting for centuries as is the case with most native Anatolians and Mesopotamians.we are not like afghans but we are not like arabs either .....to give you a clue ....to be 60% Iraqi Arab we would need to be 40% North caucasus . genetically thats how we get modelled
iraqi arabs look different on top of it (usually) .
and regarding turks . we are closer to any turk than to afghans . not only southeastern turks
I agree with you here, I find ir hilarious when people try to group native hawiians or east timorese with us because we all speak austronesian languagesyeah I don't get people that think sharing the same linguistic family means you have anything in common with the other groups in the family, like there's no way an Ossetian shares more in common with Persians than with other Caucasus nations.
