This picture is taken in Hewler (Arbil). People who don't know the Kurds or the population in Kurdistan would think he is a Kurd. But he not an ethnic Kurd. He is a Turcomon just like Zoro is. Many of those Turcomon are wannabe Kurds. I have met Turcomon from Kurdistan who claim that Turcomon are just Turkified Kurds under the Ottoman era. But the real Kurds will never accept the Turcomon in Kurdistan. Southern Kurdistan is full of this Turcomon. Most of these Turcomon are pro-Barzani and have high positions in Kurdistan politics.

Turcomon should go etiehr to Ankara, or go back to Central Asia where all Turks belong!

Because I do consider those posts useless and not informative. I keep only posts that I consider important and want people to read them even in the future. All other posts are just like slow chat and not really important to keep. If I keep those stupid posts, it would be more difficult for people to find my interesting posts. These PCAs are not meant to measure genetic distance, since they are relative to the total of the different samples used, meaning the PCA "shifts" in relation to sampling used. They produce alot of misinformation.

What produces good measures then? Qpadm or something? 🙂 Also, what's so out of the ordinary in bukharan jews being close to kurds genetically?

There's a quote from eurogenes himself, to his credit, that says the stuff that I wrote above, I didn't pull it out of my ass, if I have time I will find it for you.

I don't think there's one clear answer, obviously official stats with qpAdm are what Reich Labs use, but that also has some shortcomings. I am just saying don't use the PCA calculator stuff as absolute gospels, I would trust 23ame "oracles", for example, more than I'd trust those.

Are those 23 and me oracles customized for the population averages as in gedmatch calculators and G25 or is it for individuals only who get tested? Are the population references any different from what we see on G25 and gedmatch oracles?

I don't know the mechanism. But, for myself, they got my 50/50 split very accurately, including the regions, speaking of my own experience. G25 or the other PCA oracles can't do it.

Interesting.. but it seems that the mechanism its mechanism differs from G25 and gedmatch oracles plus it is oy restricted to people who have done the test
