Leyva's 23andMe

This is my updated 23andMe results. I now have a lot unassigned. My European, Native American and Sub-Saharan African decreased, meanwhile my Western Asian & North African increased.

My yDNA is based on my FamilyTree DNA result, 23andMe gives me a very different haplogroup.

I have been mistaken for many ethnicities and mixes. I mostly get Indian, in Dubai to my surprised I passed locally with no problem. In Europe I either got mistaken for Pakistani or Egyptian (Egyptian by Egyptians themselves), I hardly got mistaken for any other North African nationality other than Egyptian. In some occasions while eating in caribbean restaurants I would get asked "what part of the Caribbean are you from?", in which I would reply back with "where do you think I am from?", their answer would be either Trinidad or Guyana.

My hair texture is wavy
I am 6 feet 1inch tall
My eyes are hazel
And my skin color can get really dark during the summer, and lighter during the winter

Yup, I was 66% Caucasoid when I first tested in 2016, now I'm 58% Caucasoid, it's like WTF, my Amerindian & SSA remained about the same, though.

Is that you in the avatar? I associate your face more with Brazil than Mexico.
Yes that is my face
Makes sense because my ssa is higher than the norm for a mexican but more normal for a brazilian
But I'm not atypical in my city at least not physically but I am atypical if we take into account the whole state of Tamaulipas which is more mestizo, harnizo and castizo

Wow highest SSA I've ever seen in a Mexican, looks like you also have some Malay ancestry

Is higher SSA common in Tampico

It should be more common than in other parts of Tamaulipas (the state). Within the 30 years, the state has been receiving a large number of people from Veracruz (southern mexican state), many of them look triracial already

The Malay ancestry is the most interesting one for me, I would like to learn more about it and who my ancestors were but unfortunately, that might be a bit hard because they were most likely slaves and with no records other than their hispanicized names and maybe location
