As the title says. For 2 reasons. I loss access to my 23andme account, I don’t have access to the email and phone number link to it and second. My 23andme results where long outdated and needed update but for that I needed to get another kit to do it again for it. And I been wondering what I would get in update so here I am buying another 23andme kit.

Anyhow, it says this which I have filled up before on my old 23andme before I got my sample send or during the wait of my results being done. But this time I won’t put anything for Family origins information. Not until I get my results. What do you think?

@Animal_within When you took a DNA test, did you put Info of Family origins or after you got your results? I did when I first tested and with AncestryDNA but this time I’m thinking not to until I get my results

Not a genetics expert.

Yeah don’t fill it out cause you don’t want them to manipulate the results.

Yea, exactly. This is why I decided not to fill any info of my background origins.

I been thinking of upgrading my 23andMe results to the current V5 chip, since I tested back in 2016.

I scored British on a few updates on AncestryDNA, 1st it was English, then Welsh, now it's Scottish, so I would like to see if I score some British on 23andMe.

I also want to see if I score Jewish & Filipino on the new chip, since I currently score 0.8% Jewish & 0.2% Filipino on the current v4 chip.

I'm also 3.4% Italian on the current chip, but I'm 0% Italian on AncestryDNA, I would like to see if I still score Italian on the upgrade, I have legit, but distant Italian ancestry from Genoa & Piedmont.

I would like to see If I get Portuguese region's on the new upgrade, I'm 7% Portuguese on the current AncestryDNA update, but none on AncestryDNA, I was able to trace few distant Portuguese ancestors on my fathers side.

Besides that, I think it would be very similar mostly Spanish (including Basque) & Native American, with bits of SSA & North African, I think I would still be in the harnizo range, but Castizo or Balanced Mestizo are also possibilities.
