He's a Torres Strait Islander.
His name is Jimi Bani, he starred in the movie "Mabo".
Alaska - that was a brilliant guess about Papua New Guinea; his island is quite close to the coast of New Guinea. I expected people to guess islands of the Pacific Ocean or islands of the Indian Ocean in general. Or Australian Aboriginal or Maori. Or "Melanesian". Your guess was very specific - what in his looks made you think of Papua New Guinea specifically?
