The Philippines was a Spanish colony for around 400 years, many Spaniards settled in the Philippines, but not as much as Latin America, after Spain ceded the Philippines, some Spanish Filipinos chose to return to Spain, while many remained there, many of the Spanish settlers in the Philippines were also Mexicans of Spanish or mixed Spanish/Indigenous ancestry, Filipinos with 70-90% Spanish DNA make up less than 1% of the population, while those who are 25-70% genetically Spanish make up another 1-2% of the population, only 3% of the Filipino population is 25% or more Spanish by ancestry, nearly all Spanish Filipinos are mixed with the Austronesians in varying degrees, 100% Spanish tend to be very rare & are usually recent immigrants.

Lol in the Philippines we don't have blood quantum like in Latin America. They are called mestizo in the Philippines, even if they are like 95% European they are grouped together with someone who is 80% asiatic and 20% european
