Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo was my 6th cousin (four times removed), he was a Californio general who fought in the Mexican-American War, & was one of the signers of the California Constitution, he served in the California State Senate, the city of Vallejo is named after him, & he founded the town of Sonoma.

He was born in Monterey during the Spanish colonial period of California, his father was originally from Jalostotitlán (in Los Altos de Jalisco), & his maternal grandparents were from Sinaloa, he was predominantly of Spanish (🇪🇸) descent, with small amounts of Sephardic Jewish (✡️), Aztec (🪶 🇲🇽), Genovese Italian (🇮🇹).
