well, they get south iranian matches on gedmatch, which is mainly common amongst south iranians/people of south iranian descent. And their arab/non-persian names + sub saharan admix is a give-away too.

Bro, come on. If they wouldnt be from gulf/south iran, then they would be from southernmost iraq(i doubt that, since people from there still get some few iraqi matches), which wouldnt be anything different, as they still would be the same shit as gulfis in general

Im literally telling you theyre clearly south iranians from gulf, theyre nothing else. Labeling them as south iranians is rather a broad label itself, but to point out where theyre from, hence why their admix results. Its not like me saying "ok, that guy is from this specific place in Kermanshah" without anything to support theyre from there. I actually have my reasons, like their super arab names, which isnt common elsewhere in Iran apart from south + the gulf. Their south iranian matches + their tendency to score higher south asian + sub saharan(not scored often in rest of Iran)
This is like having someone from TUrkey with turkish names, but scoring exactly like a kurds and getting kurdish matches, but still we have to suspect them being kurds or not, just because we dont happen to have any confirmation yet, despite all the evidence that theyre clearly kurdish.
and what about the gulf arabs ? how do you know ?
Bro, gulf arabs at this point arent really a genetic group. Some scores like regular arabs, some scores like south iranians, then some scores like tribal arab + SSA, while other south iranian + SSA. Then some a mix of all these three, and you can add in south asians(sindhis, punjabis etc) too.
Its of course easy to see who's a tribal arab. With arabised south iranians, i simply have to look at their names(very arab names, not used in Iran) + gedmatch matches(common for them to get gulf arabs as matches too) + admix results(they seem to display arab admix, unlike south iranians in Iran).
Its not hard to see who's a gulfi at all.
