Mestizo vs Indio
Mexicans in California are predominantly Mestizos & Castizos, with a significant minority being Indo-Mestizo, & a smaller minority is predominantly Amerindian, & a much smaller minority is Criollo/predominantly Spanish, & very few being Afro-Mexicans.

  1. In Sacramento, you see mostly Harnizos, Castizos, & Balanced Mestizos.
  2. In Santa Cruz, you see mostly Harnizos & Castizos, & some Balanced Mestizos, & few Criollos.
  3. In Santa Rosa, you see a blend of Castizos, Amerindians, Indo-Mestizos, Harnizos, Balanced Mestizos, & few Criollos.
  4. In Victorville, you see mostly Balanced Mestizos, Harnizos, & Castizos.
  5. In Los Angeles (including Orange County & the Imperial Valley), you see mostly Harnizos, Castizos, Balanced Mestizos, & some Indo-Mestizos, & few Amerindians & Criollos, & very few Afro-Mexicans.
  6. In Ukiah, you see more Indo-Mestizos & many predominantly Amerindians, but you still see many Balanced Mestizos, & few Harnizos.
  7. Here in Eureka, you see many Indo-Mestizos & predominantly Amerindians, but you also see many Balanced Mestizos, Harnizos, & Castizos, & you see few Criollos & very few Afro-Mexicans.
