Here're some south indian telugus. they all belong to a caste called Reddy, which is a mid caste. You can point out/pass/classify main types. Thank you

Why such an important variation in pigmentation ?
We’re basically old world mullatoes i guess haha. Mixture of west eurasian and south eurasian mostly and the variation in skin tone and features occur because of that. All groups throughout the subcontinent have pitch black skinned folks to light brown/tan sometimes folks with reddish undertones as well.

yes but I feel like there must be an important variation of % in regards to the two components because even when it comes to facial features they don't look all the same

No they’re all from the same caste actually and most people from a particular caste score roughly within range in terms of those components. There’s not too much variation within a caste genetically, except in parts of the himalayas.

They’re all roughly 55-60% caucasoid and 40-45% aasi/Australoid in the collage above to give a broad idea. Its just some folks end looking a bit more western shifted features wise while others more south eurasian.
