Language doesn't have anything to do with genetics.
You have African Americans and Afro-Caribbean's speaking English as their native language where English is of Anglo-Saxon origin. Also you have Native Americans in Mexico & South America speaking Spanish which is also an Indo European language just like English while neither American or Caribbean Blacks nor Native Americans are of European ancestry.
There are many more instances of people switching their mother tongues due to circumstances.
