Balkan people have caught my interest in the last couple of months

i have been guessed / placed as balkan (not gypsy no ....in before ...) by a lot of people and people from balkans themselves told me i pass . and some of them guessed me as Romanian , Bulgarian etc. even as first guess without mentioning any other ethnicity .

and many people (including balkanites) also said that many Kurds in the Kurdish collage thread / Kurdish people gallery pass as Balkan . well contrary to popular misconception we Kurds are not like gypsy/pakistani/gulfarab or whatever .....if you get offended by this thread because you dont want to let your wrong opinions on Kurds go then you can go and fuck yourself . just go away

anyway this all made me look more into it and just for fun i made these threads where i posted my face next to Romanians / Bulgarians (and a few Moldovans / Serb / Bosnian) and asked if i pass among them and pretty much everybody said yes and i can see it myself :

It's insane how that one romanian has 15-16% more caucasus than those 3 other romanians. How can there be such a huge difference in a single component in a single ethnicity yeah it is interesting

and i also looked for Balkan Gedmatch kit numbers and have found many . in this thread i want to post those Balkan results who have the biggest overlap with Kurdish results :


yes there are significant differences of course . but also significant overlaps . the caucasus + mediterranean especially . and we Kurds also get several percent West and North European ...which the Balkan people have more of . and as you see Balkan people can score up to almost 8% West-Central-Asian which comes from Iran N / CHG

this man is from my homeprovince . if i am not wrong he is a zaza . zazas are genetically pretty much indistinguishable from kurmanji kurds and most zaza identify as kurdish . i am part zaza myself

i n calcs he comes out as 50-60% assyrian + 40-50% lezgin in the 2 population mixed modes

or iranian jew + lezgin

or uzbekistan jew + kumyk

etc.

i dont have much information about this man but he has a kurdish flag in his profile on gmail and the number 62 on his name ...62 is the code number of our province tunceli / dersim turkey . so it is fair to assume that he is a kurd from my homeprovince . but i dont know if he is zaza or kurmanci or a mix of both (like me) .

but he obviously is a kurd either way and his results are typical kurdish

oh and i want to add again . find me ANY assyrian kit that scores 7.19% west european + 3.48% north european ...... you wont find any levantine and assyrian person scoring like that . let alone gulf arabs . even armenians scoring like that are rare

his results are typical kurdish anyway . but i just wanted to add it here

and he said that as far as he knows Kurds in Konya are originally from places like Malatya and Adiyaman

you can say that northern west asians including Kurds are a woggier version of Balkan people . with less west/north euro stuff (but also having some themselves ) and more of the swarthier caucasian components (but balkans / south europeans also having some of it )

so northern west asians are basically like a mirror version of balkan / mediterranean europe


Kurds can be modelled with a decent fit as half Levantine especially Palestinian Christian and half Lezgin (sometimes also other north caucasus)

by the way : on G25 when you mix ancients and moderns Kurds can be modelled as 6ß% Italian + 40% (extra) Iran Neolithic + some CHG

Kurd-43: 17% Yamnaya_Samara + 33.5% Anatolia_N + 49% Iran_N + 5% CHG.

Kurd-45: 22.2% Yamnaya_Samara + 33.3% Anatolia_N + 44.5% Iran_N.

Kurd-49: 22.5% Yamnaya_Samara + 36% Anatolia_N + 41.4% Iran_N.






Anatolia Neolithic and Steppe / Yamnaya are 2 very important ancestries of europeans especially balkans and mediterranean europe . and Iran N can be found in some europeans in small amounts too


notice how we dont have any ssa , or anything south asian / AASI / onge etc. .(and no you fucking morons Iran N is not south asian lol) . ssa will not exceed 1-2 % (and thats already extreme) in any Kurd on any calculator . and sotuth asian admixture will not exceed even 5% in any non gypsy mixed Kurd . and i am not talking about the south asian component on calcs like Eurogenes K13 / K15 etc. which has a lot of west asian in it . but actual south asian such as AASI or "s-indian" on harappaworld or south asian in Eurogenes K12b or Dodecad K12b . the average score is around 2-3% for Kurds

Iranians will quite often be different to us and will look south asian influenced .

i am not saying that Kurds are / look closer to Balkans than Iranians . in before some imbecile says that i claim such a thing . no . northwest iranians are one of the closest people to us in every way

however a significant amount of Iranians will score a significant amount of south asian . we Kurds score only between 0 - 3 % typically . with some atypicals scoring around 4%

but there are even north / west persians who will score up to 14 % !!!!

and yes we Kurds will look closer to Balkan people than to south asian looking Iranians . period . if you think otherwise you are just being anti and are in denial
