A Anthropological Analysis on Southern Europeans

I been watching walking tour videos on some areas in Southern Europe, & here's what I concluded.

Iberians (Spaniards from Andalusia, Barcelona, & Madrid, as well as Portuguese from Porto, Algrave, Lisbon, & the Azores) tend to be of lighter complexion than some Southeastern European groups like Silicians, Maltese, & Greek Islanders, in the latter, olive skin (which is a darker shade of white, but its often mistaken for light brown or tan skin) is more common in those groups, however fair skin is still very common in those regions as well, Iberians tend to have fair skin, with the majority being brunettes, however olive skin is still found there.

That being said, Hollywood has portrayed Southern Europeans having tan skin, brown eyes, & black hair, that's not the case, Southern Europeans usually either have olive or fair skin, with tan skin being only a tiny minority in the Native population.

The reason why many Mestizos & Castizos have a darker complexion than Southern Europeans is usually due to Amerindian admixture.
