their reconstructions dont make any sense

alll the mesolithic and neolithic west asian reconstructions look highly native american influenced

the Tarim reconstructions look east european while their hypothetical ANE reconstruction looks nothing like that even though Tarim EMBA is predominantly ANE descendant with some minor other stuff like east eurasian . so ANE was even less east eurasian than Tarim yet ANE looks mongoloid according to them

BS

I think they were trying the ANE element.

@Domiz

The only reconstruction I can agree with though.

Eynan Natufian.

All others look too weird. Sunghir1 looks promising.

He is Sardinian isn't he. He will only.be around 15% WHG or so and the rest being Mediterranean but he looks more WHG like than ANF like as you said. As for classification, I am not really sure
Yes he is Sardinian. If I recall correctly that ANF have around 35-45% WHG related Pinarbasi ancestry. So we would be looking at 45-50% Pinarbasi HG ancestry. There are infact Sardinians who reach up to about 20% Loschbour WHG ancestry. So, some Sardinians would be around 60% WHG related in ancestry those that are in Gairo reaching at 18% in Loschbour ancestry.

And it is clear that he doesn't match the typical Sard in phenotype he might be one of these WHG related heavy people.

Pinarbasi was Anatolian Hunter Gatherer population and they were distinct from WHGs albeit WHGs having minor influence on their genome. Pinarbasi like ancestry is higher than 40-50% in Sardinians because Anatolian Neolithic Farmer, the Mediterranean ancestry that Sardinians have is 90% Pinarbasi like and Sardinians on average being 77% ANF ( I don't recall the exact number) they will automatically end up having more Pinarbasi like effect. There may be individual Sardinians pushing 20% WHG, I personally found a Basque sample in G25 database that gets modeled with 23% WHG but that is the most WHG anyone gets modeled with throught the entire database.

Phenotype does not always equal genotype and the only WHG thing that the dude in the picture has is blue eyes and I believe even ANF had the capacity to produce people with blue eyes as did CHG.if anything, WHGs were presumed to have moderately dark skin which was darker than most west eurasian populations living today. Perhaps they were on par with saudis at that.
