Btw you have a decent steppe admixture.Why do you score some chinese?Do Kurds usually score some of it or it is more recent because some of the Kurds of anatolia come in contact with Turks?Some Iranians also are frenquent in scoring some turkic/east asian admixture(not more than 1%).

I dont know . but in my case it is possible because of some slight intermixing with turks from nearby regions or something

I also score high Anatolian as you see . more than iranians

Yes your Anatolian is good.I also expected more CHG but it seems your Iranian N covers pretty much your west asian ancestry.

Ofc they do.And not only Iran N but also CHG and Levant N.All of them have Anatolian and Levantine influences.

btw. I played a little with this modelling and something caught my attention . I already made posts regarding the same issue but also in this modelling it is noteworthy .

when you take out the Iranian Farmer references and also the Harappan (because it has a chunk of Iran N in it) and model kurds vs iranians then it comes out that the iranians score a big chunk of Hoabinhian which is onge like . while I score almost zero of it

when I let the Jomon references in the modelling I will get this :

when I take out the jomon too then I get this

notice the Hoabinhian ...only 1.8 so very little

but look at the Iranians what they get with such a modelling :

thats pretty high

I know the distances are not good .....before chevalier says it xD . yes I know . but I think it shows that some iranians seem to have a little onge shift compared to us kurds . on another modelling I came to the same result before.

btw. on top of it the iranians score substantially less Anatolian Farmer than us (with the default modelling but also in this adjusted modelling)


when we look at eurogenes k12b then we can see that some iranians score 8% even 10-12% in extreme cases (and I am not talking about baloch or bandaris here but persians) south asian there while we kurds score almost nothing (1.5% is the average)

I think that that along with the fact that they have less anatolian farmer are the reasons why iranians can be very exotic looking and why they are darker than us . so it is no surprise that people get kinda surprised when they see our kurdish galleries because they can not see what they expect since they expect us to look like those mentioned exotic iranians or something

for example let us also compare my eurogenes k12b results with 2 iranian kits who are supposedly from Kerman and Yazd . I am not sure if they are indeed from there ....a guy told me that the kit numbers are from those places but it seems accurate

my results :

compare . the iranians score 7.91 and 9.21 % south asian . which is a high score on this calculator . it will definitely show on the phenotype of a decent amount of people . so it is no surprise that some iranians especially the ones from the south and east of the country can look south asian shifted . the south asian component on this calculator will only be scored in a high amount in south asians or south asian derived people such as gypsies . and on top of that the iranians also have less mediterranean than me



and I would like to post some kurdish faces along to make it visually more clear . I think that people are getting confused for these reasons
