We are from a small town called Darband, where it is not
Pashtun Dominant at all. There are around 7 - 10 Pashtun families in the village. The rumour was that we originally came from Afghanistan around Kunar area and then migrated to Pakistan for some reason.

We have been in Chitral for around 80 years now, since my great grand parents (paternal and maternal) were part of a group of atleast 20 families that migrated to Bajaur originally, then half of the 20 families stayed in Bajaur and the other half went north to Chitral

Wdym Wakhi btw ? All the Gedmatch test I ran the closest match was always Pashtun
dont take gedmatch too literal

and damn, you should had told me from beginning you were half khowar, lul

but yeah, youre pretty damn close to wakhis. they score very similiar to what you get. though being half kunari pashtun, i thought you be a bit more south asian shifted. i guess your ''pashtun'' side also are partially khowar or wakhi. i assume your khowar grandparents were sunnis though

also, its odd your mother consider herself pashtun, but her dad is khowar

That’s because my maternal grandfather died when she was 5, and therefore was bought up by her mother. And yes my Khowar side were all Sunni. I am very positive we have no Shia in our family because they do not really associate with them in general
