surprised you're not getting any western Iranian. I'm assuming there's a lot of overlap though with Zagros component?

EDIT - nvm lol, just saw what populations are used. Its Wezmeh for zagros and ganj dareh and similar for iranian.

16% proto-steppe looks reasonable. The kurdish samples from qpAdm also get modeled in similar fashion don't they?

Remove all the steppe components besides samara and try it that way.

If our Iran_N comes from wezmeh then this is basically what we are dealing with here. And that's for us, the west asian people.

Before fuckeeeeer says anything about the natufian and AASI admixture in wezmeh samples, it's a shift that wezmeh and other iran_n populations had relative to CHG which could be because of slight admix from levant and southern asia or because that's how the calculators interpret the southern shift that iran_n has relative to CHG. But in all examples as it's shown, iran_n including the wezmeh sample has CHG base.

it is just genetic drift i think .....

where is Iran N supposedly getting AASI from ? aasi is a very distinctly indian thing and they didnt move much around .

on gedmatch Iran N is 6% south asian (k12b , harappa )
