Are Latin Americans ashamed of Amerindian ancestry?

True I find them very interesting people, esp the Maya and Andeans

Not all Latinos are ashamed of our amerindian ancestry, many Chicanos take pride in their amerindian blood, including myself, not all Latinos are like some of these self-hating clowns on the anthrofora, those are only a minority in Latinos.
Maybe some South Americans have some some racial complex, but not Mexicans, besides the media, Mexicans don't really care about race, & dont identify with their race, but instead with their nationality & religion, like my mom always said, "soy Mexicana y Catolica" which means "I'm Mexican & Catholic".
Here in the states, it's common for people to identify with their race & ethno-national origins, like a white guy would say "I'm Italian & Irish", but a white mexican in Mexico doesn't really say "I'm a spaniard or I'm french", they just say "soy un guero mexicano".
My point is that not all latinos are like some of the self-haters in the anthrofora, who have serious cases of OWD, like that one triracial puerto rican guy from NYC who was on Facebook & YouTube who kept insisted he was almost a full-blooded spaniard.
It's usually some latino americans who deny their amerindian DNA due to racism by anglos, & try to fit in with the anglos, or a mestizo in mexico who watches way too much novelas on the TV.
Remember that Latin America is a really big region, with lots of countries with large populations, not every single person there is going to be into this type of shit.
