the reason is that since turkey has A LOT of gypsies (more than romania even) when they see gypsies on the street etc. they think that they have to be kurds because they associate "muh iranic" thing with looking gypsoid.... which is bullshit of course

and when they see exotic arabs they also will think that they are kurds

No, I don't. It is not like Turks and Kurds live mixed together. Only in the big cities like Constantinople. Northern Kurdistan (South Eastern Turkey) is still predominately Kurdish. The biggest majority, like +90%, is Kurdish. So it is not very challenging to see how Kurds from Northern Kurdistan look like.
