There was a guy (Turk/Turcomon) from Ankara (Central Turkey) at my school who looked like him. You are forgetting that the original Turks that Turks/Seljuks/Turcomon who invaded Byzantium were not Western Eurasian but Mongoloids from Altai. They do still speak the Mongoloid language. This is one of many reasons why I have never considered the Turks as Western Eurasians, let alone Northern West Asians.
Today modern Turks from Anatolia can plot everywhere. They are very mixed people.
They were 100% Turks from the Altai. We don't know there exact admixture anymore. The old samples you find in Turkey are already mixed. But at the end they are from the Altai and China. And that region where the original Turks came from was never part of Western Eurasia.
'100% Mongoloid' Turks invented the Turkic language.
Today modern Turks from Anatolia can plot everywhere. They are very mixed people. Some of them plot with the Levantines/Semites, some of them plot with the Armenians or Georgians and some of them plot with the Greeks etc. So you can not place them just in 1 region. They are NOT European, they are not Northern West Asian, they are NOT Levantine etc.
I don't believe it. Maybe 'some' tribes were like that. Turks/Turcomons arrived in Anatolia from the Altai region in multiple waves for centuries. It was not just 1 invasion/migration.
Turkey was for centuries like America in the 18th century. Every Mongoloid from Eastern Eurasia could immigrate into Turkey. This is how they Mongolified/Turkified Anatolia.
Some tribes could be were mixed and some tribes were just like Uyghurs.
I am just giving an explanation why there are many Turks who look like pure Mongoloids.
Turks are not and will never be European and they are not and never will be Northern West Asian (Caucasian/Caucaso-Iranic). They are Turkic originally from the Altai, plain and simple.
It depends on what Turk you are testing. An assimilated Armenian who calls himself a 'Turk' could even show less than 1% Mongoloid.
It is obvious that Turks are the most recent settlers in the region. Some plot with the Northern West Asian (Caucasian/Caucaso-Iranic) people. Some plot with the Greeks (/Balkans) and some plot with the Semitic Levantines.
This is one of the main reasons why they really don't belong in any of these groups. They can't be Euro people, because many don't plot with the Greeks. They can't be Caucasian people, because many of them don't plot with Caucasans and Kurds. And they can't be really Levantine people, because many of them don't plot with the Semitic Levantines. But in general they plot between the Levant, Europe (Greece) and Northern West Asia. So, it makes ‘modern’ Anatolian Turks somehow ‘Western Eurasian’ today.
They are like a Frankenstein's creature, they have got a little bit of everything. FAKE people/nation.
Other reason is their language. It is neither native to Europe, nor to West Asia. Turkic language is from China and the first Turk who spoke a Turkic dialect was a Chinese/Mongolian.
