Magaluf continues to grow as a tourist destination. After several years of improvements in its hotel and commercial fabric, 2024 promises to consolidate this Mallorcan town as a Mediterranean reference point for young visitors, but which also accommodates family tourists.

The offer that now exists on Magaluf beach in terms of restaurants and exclusive beach clubs allows Calvià to boast of a destination that now also wants to make itself known in the MICE segment, thanks to infrastructures adapted to host corporate business events, conventions and all kinds of meetings, workshops, product presentations and social events. Meanwhile, hotel renovations are still underway, and investments for next summer are well in excess of 20 million euros.

Beach Clubs​

2023 has seen the birth of a significant number of seafront businesses. These new beach clubs, together with the existing ones, make up an offer that is difficult to match in Mallorca and in most Mediterranean destinations: haute cuisine, good music and exclusive spaces located on the seafront, almost right on the beach.

From international cuisine to local Km0 products, Magaluf allows visitors to taste a wide range of products from a sophisticated and cosmopolitan cuisine. Not in vain, here they will also find a municipal swimming pool, a football pitch, and other facilities - such as a golf course - that complete the overall experience of the athlete.

A global destination​

Magaluf is therefore already immersed in a new era. However, in spite of its renovated hotel plant and an enviable gastronomic offer, Magaluf wants to continue growing. To continue improving.

In this sense, new investments are planned for the coming months. The planned investments in the hotel plant exceed 20 million euros, affecting more than 1,600 rooms. All thanks to a public-private partnership that has been key to making the great transformation of the destination a reality.
Work will also start in 2024 to refurbish the seafront promenade. Through the Next Generation funds granted by the European Union, a profound transformation will be activated in two phases, which will improve the urban environment of a beach frequented by tourists and residents alike.

Don’t just rely on what I tell you, if you search the web today you will find dozens upon dozens of sites proclaiming that “Ibiza is dead! Long live Magaluf!” For instance, the BCM Club is the biggest in Mallorca and for one entrance fee you get three all-inclusive bars on 3 floors, which takes out the hassle of constantly handing over cash and queuing is a thing of the past. You also get lost of free goodies (we all love a freebie!) now, doesn’t that sound like a nightclub fit for a King?
Apart from this, quite literally amazing club in my opinion, there are lots of other venues that all offer a different twist on a night out. Consequently, there are lots of jobs, hundreds even, on offer in these places including; bar staff, cocktail waiters, dancers or promoters – whatever takes your fancy really. It’s essential though that you fully understand that these clubs stay open until the very wee hours of the morning. So, if you are the sort of person that takes on homicidal tendencies when you don’t get your eight hours, you may want to think twice about such jobs.
Of course, most people tend to adjust to working what is essentially a night shift, but you still have to be fully committed – it can be bloody hard work!
If you are not the kind of person that can handle booming trance and indie music in your eardrums for hours on end and would prefer a more sophisticated summer experience, Mallorca still has something to offer – Porto Pi. Picture a town that oozes class and distinct style, which is a playground for the rich. Many wealthy people have yachts moored in the summer months including apparently Peter Stringfellow.
The good thing about working in Porti Pi is that you can have the best of both parts of Mallorca. You can walk into Magaluf for a night as it’s walking distance away and enjoy the calming pace and tranquility of working in Porto Pi.
