I've talked with an ethiopian once and he told me in the ethiopian highlands many endogamous communities have retained the traits of the earlier south arabian settlers. This is really impressive because this goes back to the early iron age if I'm not mistaken.

His skin is too pale for iron age southern arabian populations though. He is an odd case but he has an obvious SSA influence in his face.

I don't see why you say this if many ethiopians can have this skin color its because their semite ancestors already had it (we also have an ancient testimony of the Sassanid shah saying him and the yemenites belong to the white race unlike the aksumite rulers)

Semites were brown, especially in pre Iron age era. Nowadays, even quite a few levantine people can have that brownish look.

He could be of Armenian descent. I worked with two different individuals at two different occasions and both identified as Ethiopian with Armenian ancestry going back to 1915.
