just for the record i personally think that more kurds pass in afghanistan than sicily because afghanistan has northern west asian looking people in their diversity . but in general afghans and kurds look clearly different . anybody who has 2 functioning eyes and who is not biased aka "but afghans are iranic speakers herp derp" can see that

Avicenna thinks afghans look similar to albanians . he thinks afghans (with their 12 % AASI which peaks in tribal indians) are closer to kurds (who are geographically further away from afghans than kurds are to austrians ...who have no AASI and who have way more mediterranean farmer ) than to their south asian neighbours

Bashur, or Southern Kurdistan has millions of Arabs, Turkmen and Assyrian living in Kurdish cities. Major Kurdish cities in Southern Kurdistan such as Hewler (Arbil) and Kirkuk are ethnically mixed. More than 30% of residents in Southern Kurdistan is not ethnic Kurdish.

So, most people from Southern Kurdistan who look strange for the Kurdish (Caucaso-Iranic aka Aryan) race are either mixed or not ethnic Kurds at all. Most of those non-Kurdish looking Kurds are either Arabs, Turkmen or ASSyrians
